Nice enough place, but I am convinced I saw the ghost of my great-aunt Hilda here. I only came here to drop off some flowers to her grave when she appeared in front of me and told me what a failure I am.

Very well maintained Jewish cemetery first setup in 1873. With a definitive who's who in Jewish society such as a number of Rothschild's, the Barnato & Joel family (as in Barney Barnato), Rubinstein's and Emdens. Well worth a visit.

Joined the Open House tour today and was highly impressed. Was greeted with a warm welcome and found the wall displays in the main building to give a concise and refreshingly frank account of Jewish history in Britain. Les, our guide around the cemetery, was a wealth of information, perfectly placing those whose graves that we stopped at in the context of the times in which they lived. A very educational experience.
