A reasonably short, treelined pathway. Very overgrown in areas. Would not go out of your way to visit.

Daniels Wood Nature Reserve is a Small wood that runs along side the Railway line in Kingsway. This wood is situated on the former Quedgeley RAF Base. The base used to produce Shells during the W1 & w2 period. Not much remains of the Air Base at Quedgeley apart from Avionics House and a few remnants of Rail Tracks used at the Air Base Factory. If you have a good look around Daniels wood you may find Old Sleepers & Concrete Blocks used for the rail sidings. The pathways in the wood need some improvement as overgrown in places. The Old trees you see in Rows show roughly where the rail lines would have run. This Small wood is Home to many wild Animals & Birds. Foxes, Rabbits, Badgers, Headgehogs & Even Jay's have been seen. Can see Photos we have captured of some of the local wildlife. Sadly there is a lot of rubbish & dog poo bags dumped in the trees and bushed as which is becoming common place in our countryside. Please Take Rubbish home and respect the countryside. Not very suitable for the very disabled as can only access it via foot with aid of a walking stick. Would be better if the Council could put a single track path through the wood so it could be accessible for all. Great Place to spot Wild Birds if you are Quiet enough.
