Duncan Smith House - Premier Student Halls

Internet very poor, cheap beds, walls very thin, water pressure not great. Area is fairly quiet and green. Kitchen appliances like fridge, toaster etc. could do with replacing. Admin/customer service is slow and not great at communicating.

I highly enjoyed my stay at Links View and I would recommend it to prospective students. I had no issue with noise levels in the area therefore, I was able to do my assignments in peace. They were very quick and efficient when dealing with any maintenance issues we reported and we had a communal cleaner who attended to communal areas on a weekly basis. I believe this accomodation is great value for money.

Duncan Smith on Ferncliffe in Harborne never contacts back. Only gives excuses on the phone and false hope. Gave up at the end.

I asked to view this property and was told somebody would get back to me. Cut to 11pm the day before after re-contacting during the day, I was told nobody was available to show me the property and that was that. No offer to arrange an alternative date or even contact before me asking to let me know, it required me to contact them.I dread to think what this company would be as a landlord, if they can’t even arrange/ rearrange viewings. I would avoid.

Where to begin?Internet hasn't worked since October, they use some cheap package that restricts bandwidth after 9:30pm so if you want to revise or do assignments at night - you can't.Took them 4 months to give us a proper working hoover - twice they just plonked us with a decrepit 2nd hand one and thought that's good enoughThey advertise tv connectivity? Yeah you're not getting that either. Ours has not worked since moving inWeekly cleaner? NoSecurity? NoCircuits cuts off every other day due to very poor electrical wiring.Kitchen light hasn't worked in months and they have yet to get around to fixing itLinks View is a cowboys accomodation. Not sure about their other accomodations but if this is anything to go by, then I'd stay well clear.

Apartment style student accommodation located in quiet cul-de-sac. Resident parking available.

Terribly unprofessional. Was on the phone with the main contact for Duncan Smith student housing in Harborne (Birmingham) for weeks. I explained my situation and was assured that a flat could be secured. Firstly, the main contact was late for both viewings. We missed our first viewing because my accompanied family member would have been late for work if we waited any longer. In the end, no follow up, no updates, no courtesy call to say the flat isn't available. Emailed, but no response and had to keep chasing. Everytime I managed to get through, there was an excuse. If I was told honestly and upfront, that a flat wasn't available then I would have moved on instead of wasting time. Just shockingly unprofessional.

I spent one year in Links View 2 and I really enjoyed my time there. Quiet area but quite good positioning. 25 minutes walk and 10 minutes by bus to the university.Good sized, ensuite room.Didn't give 5 starts because of the poor quality of the cleaning service, which you pay 35 pounds/month.

A friendly, understanding and helpful private student accommodation. Rooms are lovely with plenty of desk space and with an amazing view overlooking bournbrook walkway. Everything was pristine and landlord always replied promptly. Location was brilliant given its only a 15 minute walk from the Uni of Birmingham and a retail park very close-by.
