Was here for the Telford and District Hamfest and it was great. Been to the campus before and its a superb place and quite modern. I'm told its among the best University for Agricultural studies in the UK.

University rating  (4)The best aspects is that living on campus is extremely easy to go to lectures and all scheduled events, it is easy to go round and there are many things you can do such as walk around the farm etc, as well as this there is also access to the bus to get to and back from Newport. The worst aspect is that there is not that much to do when things are not taking place such as there are not many communal areas for students to meet and chat, as well as this in catered accommodations there is no access to an oven or hob which is kind of annoying when we have to make our own foods on weekends. Apart from that this university is great and I am loving it.Facilities: 5.0Location: 3.0Student support: 2.0Campus look and feel: 5.0Student life: 5.0Students' union: 5.0Course rating  (3)The course is good but there are some modules which I do not enjoy as much as others such as for example academic skills which includes presenting in front of the class which I am not looking forward to at all. As well as this these sessions are four hours long which makes it extremely difficult for me to concentrate for the whole time. The modules such as animal welfare and management, introduction to animal biology and physiology chemistry i find really interesting and am really enjoying. The course is extremely useful and we get to learn a lot of different aspects which is really great.Course content: 5.0Work placements and internships: 3.0Lecturers and teaching quality: 3.0Career prospects: 2.0Tutor contact time: 3.0Subject facilities: 3.0University halls  (5)GloucesterI love thé location of this hall as it is extremely close to all of my courses and so is extremely useful if I have to go back and collect something that I have forgotten. In terms of value for money I do not think it is great. It is quite expensive as we are catered for Monday - Friday. However we have to provide our own meal for weekends but do not have access to a hob or oven and this is kind of annoying as you can’t make much food with just a microwave and kettle so I wish there were bigger facilities. As well as this there is no common area for everyone to meet and chill together and the kitchens are extremely small, meaning that there isn’t really time for everyone to chill and enjoy each others company. However, the rooms are great and if decorated then the room feels a lot more homey and feels a lot better. This place is now getting better as the days go on.Location: 5.0Safety: 5.0Room allocation: 5.0Internet/wifi: 5.0Value for money: 3.0Property management: 5.0

Harper Adams University has to be one of the most friendly and welcoming universities that I have visited. I have spent some time their recently and everyone of the staff is extremely helpful and simply nice. The location and facilities are amazing, from the fantastic food in Graze in Faccenda to the gym facilities and swimming pool. The university grounds are beautifully maintained and students are well blessed here with such a great environment in which to study.

Half way through 2nd year now and yet to have an in person Lecture. Most other universities have been back since last September but Harper still insist on pre recorded lectures. This makes it easy for their lecturers as all they have to do is find the lecture they recorded last year and re-upload it. The student union is open and will host a ball with 2500 people but lectures still have to be online

Harper has some of the most helpful and genuinely caring staff I've ever met.Facilities are very good, relatively new and regularly cleaned.Harper is equipped with excellent farm facilties, occasionally there are smells that remind you of that.Few minutes drive outside of Newport and 20 odd minutes from Telford. The university does provide a shuttle bus to Newport regularly with a small fare.Nightlife is dominated by Harper students, weekly events are held at the SU but many students take to Newport for an alcohol filled night.

Lecturers treat students like little kids and the attendance policy practically means you have no freedom because the policy makes it so you have to attend every lecture otherwise tutors will always be on your case which make it feel like secondary school all over again. You would think as grown adults who pay 9 grand a year for this that we would be able to freely make the choice of not going to lectures without any consequences. Also there is nothing to do for fun outside lectures because the university is located in the middle of nowhere.
