Chris Allison Southampton Piano Teacher

Chris started teaching our eldest son about 11 years ago and one by one my other children began lessons with him. Two of them have worked to grade 8 with him. They have always found Chris to be friendly and encouraging and his lessons are very engaging. He is flexible in teaching to their interests and as a result one did 2 grades in Jazz piano. He is always happy to help out if they need any assistance with school related music practice too.Two years ago I decided to start piano lessons with Chris - which is definitely challenging in my late 40s! But it confirms that he has the patience of a saint!! Our family is very glad that we found Chris all those years ago and would recommend him to anyone looking for a piano teacher.

Chris has been teaching both my children (9 and 12) since the end of 2022, and I’ve never seen them enjoy lessons so much! He’s incredibly patient with them both and makes a concerted effort to find pieces that not only teach them new skills and challenge them, but they’ll also enjoy - which has made encouraging piano practice a lot easier too!

Chris has been teaching my sons piano for 6 years. He is at all times professional and very easy to get along with, making my sons feel at ease and comfortable with his support. He is a patient and understanding teacher who is sensitive to the pace at which to progress. We are extremely happy with the progress both my sons have made and most importantly they enjoy their weekly lessons with him.

Chris is a fantastic tutor. He is very patient and extremely knowledgeable not only in supporting me with piano skills/teaching, but also music theory to a high level, which is very useful as I am an adult learner currently studying a Music BA at University. Chris is also an fantastic and professional accompaniest and has supported me in my solo music exams. I cannot speak highly enough of him.

Chris has been teaching our daughter piano for almost one year and we are amazed by the progress our daughter made already. Our daughter really enjoys his lessons and they seem to get on really well. Chris also accompanied our daughter for her violin exam and they performed together at a couple of concerts before. We feel really lucky to know him and he definitely inspired the little one in her music learning. We would recommend him to everyone who is looking for a great piano teacher.

Chris is an excellent piano teacher with an approach tailored to the needs and abilities of his students. Chris has been teaching my daughter piano lessons for approximately six months now and she has come on leaps and bounds since she started her tuitions with Chris. His gentle and patient approach makes my daughter comfortable and relaxed, and the whole experience simply enjoyable! He’s truly inspirational! Thank you Chris!
