Davison's Mill
A really fascinating place. The (volunteer) staff are amazingly knowledgeable about the history of the mill and its technology. You can see all the working parts and equipment but be prepared for some steep steps inside the mill. There's a lovely little museum on the site, and excellent cream teas!

I visited the Grade I listed Davison's Mill, Stelling Minnis, in August 2016. There were no others there. It wasn't a visitor day, but access can be had around the mill at any time. This 19th-century smock mill with external gallery appears complete - a fine example. The location is fairly secluded and parking is easy alongside public lanes with grass verges. Worth visiting.

Davison's Mill
A well-maintained windmill with informative displays, friendly and helpful volunteers. They do a good cream tea and there's a lovely mural full of local references in the tea room. Top marks for including John Foley's troop of Churchill tanks from 'Mailed Fist'.

What's not to love about this Grade 1 listed smock mill built in 1866 restored in all its glory. Enjoy a guided tour or explore on your own. Take in the windmill museum and round off your visit with a delicious cream tea. As a reminder you can also take home a copy of Davison's Mill, a delightful history of mills and country living.

Very interesting, you can climb all the way to the top inside. Fascinating to see how it works, and there were bats inside!
