Lovely little lodge beautifully located. 2 minutes walk to cafe across river.. If going in winter take warm clothing as the heating is not really enough to keep you snug.

A gem. Whilst the facilities are basic, they are clean, functional and stocked. We received a great welcome and local advice. Spent a lovely couple of days in tranquil surrounding, birds on the front porch, foxes popping by at night, sat by the relaxing gurgle of the river. WiFi was perfect, beds were comfy, kitchen utensils well stocked. Absolute result of a find.

Lovely setting for wildlife. A family of swans visited every evening. Wetland and woodland walks. The Crown pub 5 minute walk up river very nice. Functional interior with shower, fridge, cooker, TV and Wifi. Train noise might bother some people. Friendly staff. Kids enjoyed kayaking. Reasonable price.

Clean comfortable chalets next to the River Lea. Friendly and helpful staff. Bike and canoe hire, country walks, children's playground close by. Walking distance to railway station. Good pub nearby.

Amazing little getaway spot to recharge energies, clean with all the necessary basic stuff, 5 star staff, definitely coming back and maybe try the activities too.

Second time there . A joy , location is wonderful . So peaceful , and a major bonus is wildlife that visit , swans and their young , ducks , and this time a beautiful fox . Great location for seeing interesting places . The staff are great too. Please try it .

Stayed for ease rather than for the outdoor activities, chalet was clean and well equipped for eating in. As we stayed in December we expected it to be cold but it was lovely and toasty, we will definitely stop again.

We stayed 2 nights lovely and relaxing. The couple who welcomed us were very friendly and helpful. Chalet we had was very comfy with 2 bedrooms,bathroom with bath,and living area, we even had a cooker. Will definitely be going again. The only downfall was no pets as it is the ideal spot for dog walking (hoping this will change) also you can hire canoes, bikes, boats and there is a zoo abt 7 mins away by car.
