Driver Transmissions

Went there a couple of weeks ago to ask for a diagnostic check which they provide for £48 including VAT for a mk 6 Golf.Excellent customer service from the gentleman at the front desk. The place has a separate waiting room which is a rarity in most garages connected to their workshop. Diagnostic check ran by one of the mechanics on their machine then one of the owners (Amit) came out to discuss the fault codes and possible options. Excellent knowledge and great service.Just a reminder that they do close up for lunch so before you pop down!

*UPDATED REVIEW*BEEN BACK 5 TIMES IN TOTAL FOR THE SAME VEHICLE. TOLD TO BRING CAR IN FIRST THING, SO GOT HERE FOR 07.30 AND THEY STILL HAVENT FIXED THE OIL LEAKING PROBLEM. Leaving my original revuew below for context purposes.Top guys! Called in the morning, as my car was playing up yesterday. They were very quick, did a diagnostic and explained the outcome. I found them very trustworthy and straightforward.

If I could give 0 star I would I've been down to this place twice now heard many great things about them from so many and maybe their work is brilliant I'm not going to dispute that I haven't seen their work. I would say is their service is atrocious I've been down twice first time round waited 5 weeks and still didn't get a quote because they forgot I had to go again and show my car again they managed to give me quote and said should be able get it down this week or so and heard nothing back I rang up again and they said were busy we will let you know and nothing since. I was willing to spend £2000.00 with these guys and they just ignored me absolute donkeys.

After blowing my gear box up, I was in desperate need for someone to take my job on, I rang round quite a few garages with them either being extremely expensive or not confident in completing the job and many recommended Ami at Drivers Transmissions.So I called Ami, explained what happened and he reassured me and put me at ease and gave me the confidence that my car would be in good hands. After getting the car recovered to the garage, Ami gave me a call within a few days with the good news that the car is up and running.I can’t thank Ami and his team enough and highly recommend Drivers Transmission

Excellent service – problem with gearbox bearing on my Hybrid Ford Mondeo. Booked in at short notice and Bob fit me in. The vehicle was repaired promptly. “Really pleased with the service and how quickly they sorted my car!” The Staffs are amazingMore than satisfied..definitely the best Transmission Garage nationwide.

An excellent, authentic garage. Numerous mechanics were unable to fix my Ford Cmax. Though others had warned me they may charge me as much as £4,000, these folks fixed it for $390. You won't find anything better or more authentic than these. To me, the garage owner is like a guardian angel. They are really honest and very competent; if they wish, they could be charging me thousands since I've already told them everything—where I took my car, troubles, etc.—but since they are very genuine, they only charged me a few hundred, which included fitting a new battery and fixing my car. I definitely recommend this garage

Bob was very helpful. He’s clearly very experienced. Diagnosed the problem with my car and transported the car to the appropriate mechanic without charge. A true gentleman . Not many people like him around. Thank you Bob

called up and gave all the details of our car including make, registration and the diagnostics we'd had done saying what the issue was. got told to bring it in the next day so we took off work and drove 30 minutes with a faulty gearbox only to be told to leave as soon as we arrived because they don't work on our car model specifically apparently. The man at the desk was helpful and offered us a phone number for another garage, but an hour round trip with a problem car could have been avoided if we were told before we came.

Car was leaking transmission fluid and needed some new pipework.1st visit they had a look, topped up the fluid for free to get me back home and said they would source the parts. Unfortunately these are like finding chicken teeth so a week later I am back, and they work their magic with some of their own piping and more fluid.I messed up and assumed it was a sit and wait sort of thing so rather than make me get home via the bus while they had the car for the day, they provided coffee while I waited and got it squeezed in to get me away in a couple of hours. Also the first time I have ever sat at a garage and had people pop into the reception area just to make sure I was ok.These folks are awesome and I cannot recommend them enough. Polite, professional, upfront and clear on costs and just all round good guys.

Excellent service from Bob and the team here. Had reconditioned power shift on a ford mondeo. Managed to get a same day turnaround as I was desperate to get the car back (not something they can guarantee) but was very happy when I got the call to collect. Thanks again...Mark
