The conduit is in rather unpleasant condition reduced to hole in the ground status. Very hard to find and very sad to look at.

Interesting historic detail. Part of Medieval water supply infrastructure, supplying water to the nearby Abbey.Probably not worth visiting on it's own for many people, but well worth the short walk from St Martin's Priory to get a glimpse into this detail of life long ago.

St Augustine's Conduit House
Conduit House is a ruin of a 12th century monastic waterworks, a bit off the beaten track but only a few minutes walk from St Martin's Church. The works originally supplied St Augustine's Abbey, lower down the hill.

Almost completely hidden by bushes. Not well maintained. Felt conned that this is even listed in places to visit by English Heritage.
