Visited 2 weeks ago - made to feel unwelcome and like we were an inconvenience. Not attended to at all within 20 minutes of sitting. Menu also seemed very limited so walked out. Do not recommend.

The food was exceptional!! this is a wonderful little gem of a place. The host was so friendly and helpful, even with our limited French.. It was just like being in france! The escargot - delicious, the wine fantastic.. They even got our favourite cheese in! All set in the quaint village of Steyning. Just perfect, can't wait to go back. And we live an hr away!! 10/10

Nice French styled bistro restaurant now open Thursday to Saturday evenings. Had a good vegetarian platter for lunch and was well looked after by the lady in charge. Will aim to visit in the evening as recommended by her to sample the veggie option before long.

This is my favourite cafe in Steyning. It serves high quality food. The place has a French feel with delicious pastries but it also serves English breakfasts among plenty of other options. It has a deli and does takeaway sandwiches and baguettes. All very nice.

A little after lunch period on a quiet Friday I found myself tempted by the display of salads & meets, the lady manager explained that they normally close at two & this was 20 past ish but kindly made us both up two very tasty baguettes for us to take away,we had previously purchased two bottles & she kindly lent us a bottle opener which we promised to return later on the same day, perhaps through the letterbox , I sort of forgot the little friendly village shop of my youth & how it all works, great experience will return one Saturday evening , jk.Ps...As promised a year later I returned to the little village bistro for an evening meal with a lady, well spaced out table for two by the window excellent small menu perfect, great atmosphere superb food / no rush table for the night, just about managed to share a desert, great experience ...Kenny xoxo.

A lovely and quiet little eatery in the heart of Steyning. Well worth a look especially when the crayfish sandwiches are freshly made....go !

If I could give it no stars I would. The food was bland and tepid. The wine corked and staff don't know much about what was on offer. Very limited vegi options. Why does this place think because a person is vegetarian that they want mushrooms in everything!! No all vegetarians eat mushrooms. Never going again.

Perfect with some added drops of kindness! We ate there this evening. I wanted to write a review straight away as we were so impressed. To start, the owners are just wonderful, Sarah is kind and attentive she gives time to you, making sure you know about each dish and their wine variety. The food is divine and so perfectly cooked. They gave us dessert to take home as an extra. Thank you so much.We will be taking the rest of our family next time. :)Sorry no photos taken as we were enjoying the expereicne so much!

We visited for the first time today and had the full breakfast which included tea/coffee. The two ladies working were really lovely and the food was locally sourced . The sausage was excellent and piping hot (bonus as its a pet peeve to get warm food). You can buy local products including jams chutneys and cheeses. Very quant and they also do three evenings openings with a 2 or 3 course french menu. Breakfast was £9.95 and I took a piece of cherry malibu cake home.
