The snuggest and arguably among the best vinyl shops in Greater London transcends its constraints.Despite the Lilliputian dimensions the key here is metaphor: colossal Rock Era legacy association, the incomparable album roster incubated at the studio, the knowledgeable, conversant and engaging “staff.”New and second-hand vinyl, mostly but not exclusively, linked to Olympic Studio’s output, curated by a astute hand immersed in the music, the milieu , the magic.Enthusiasm the abraxas here.A smattering of T-Shirts, memorabilia, posters and related books add a sprinkle of fairy dust.If you leave empty handed you’ve only got yourself to blame.“… sweet dreams are made of this..”

I was introduced to this gem of a record store by a friend on a recent trip to London. It is a compact space with a focus on music recorded at the former Olympic Studios located across the street. In addition, the store has a number of rare collectable discs.We spent a good forty-five minutes chatting music with Roger, the store's very knowledgeable curator and one of his colleagues, a former music critic with NME. The next day, we attended a very entertaining seminar across the street at the former Olympic Studios hosted by Roger on music and scent. This is a store for any record enthusiast and collector.

It was a pleasure working with Roger and Olympic Studios Records to find homes for my late father’s extensive, much cherished and valuable vinyl collection. Realising good value from a treasured collection that would otherwise largely sit in storage is just one consideration - what I hadn’t really appreciated that would be so important to me was the appreciation/interest/respect for such a collection from the shop’s expertise, the local reselling (so many homes locally as well as national collectors will now be appreciating his collection) and the wider mission of the shop to support the archiving of Olympic Studios. Thank you.
