Not a resident of Hastings and was attending the church for a family wedding.The atmosphere was really friendly with an area at the back that was available for hot drinks or glasses of cucumber water if wanted before and after the service.The church itself has beautiful Victorian windows.If you are visiting the church you'll get a friendly welcome from both Cathy and Glenn.

Sonrise Church, St Leonards, has been my home church since 2009; a loving, warm and very special group of people of all types, colours and backgrounds who believe the Bible and have experienced the saving Love of Jesus Christ in this 21st century. The worship is generally modern; some of it you may be familiar with already, and it has its own unique style, helped by a team of dedicated musicians.I have found Sonrise will make you welcome, tenderly support you when (and if) you need, and love you through life's ups and downs. This is a place you'll meet real people who have their own troubles like all of us.Yet there is a tangible sense of something bigger - of looking forward; of longing to know Christ better, to love Him better and to be in the centre of the will of God. Sonrise Church is for all ages and experiences of life. We want you to be yourself, and we want to listen if you have something you need to share or say. But there is no pressure.Please COME. I hope you will discover, as I did, a new dimension to church life and life in general. I hope you are also able to benefit from the tenderness, confidentiality, and gentle affirmation present in the leadership.team that has been so important to me these past years. People here have always been really friendly and welcoming when I have popped in with my daughter. People at the table sale were lovely.
