Brilliant service and very reasonable price from Matt, who worked his magic on my old and oh so slow Toshiba laptop, which was on it's last legs.I couldn't really afford a new laptop, but thanks to Matt I didn't have too.He's replaced parts, and for a fraction of the price of a new one, I've now got a laptop that's very fast and working perfectly .A perfect example of upcycling !Many thanks Matt, will recommend you to anyone I know in need of help.!

Matt took our aging but competent laptop and improved it without us having to get a new one. He replaced the battery which was no longer holding a charge, replaced the screen which was starting to have pixels go, increased the RAM and upgraded the M.2 drive. It is like a new machine and we are very happy. Thank you very much, the work has been much appreciated!

We had some problems with a cracked screen on our Acer Chromebook that we use for our sons online tutoring. The manufacturer wanted a ridiculous price just to even look at it and diagnose the problem". (Fairly self explanatory I would have thought - the screen is cracked!) I also contacted PC World who wanted £110. Anyway

What a star, had a problem with my printer and very helpful chap said probably not worth spending money on it but went on to suggest things to try first, followed his advice and now sorted! so impressed, takes me back to how things used to be before Amazon took over so thanks you were great , top man

Great service. I wrote to Matt on a Friday night and he replied quickly. He had the laptop repaired and sorted by Sunday evening including ordering and fitting a new part. Very fair pricing and good customer service. I have found our go-to repair guy!

Well, what can I say!LegendProfessionalQualityFairClassCompetitiveCheapI’m always a little wary of a business I’ve not used before especially as it is based a private residence and doesn’t have a shop front. I certainly didn’t need to be.Matt greeted me with a friendly face and was reassuring at the door. The laptop that was handed over was 13 moths old (always the way, something goes wrong just after the warranty runs out) and was returned completely fixed in just under a week.Matt also took the time to give a detailed explanation with what was wrong with the laptop, which of course was helpful.Obviously, you never know what the charge will be until your told. Let’s just say his charge was less than handing it over the alleged ‘know how team’ at Currys / PC World (without them even looking at it). To be honest I was quite stunned (in a good way), of what he asked for.I appreciate that it may have been an easy fix for Matt, but nonetheless I was relieved and presently surprised.The laptop after a couple of days is still working just fine.My only ‘minor’ criticism would be that the communication was a little slow. I appreciate we all have busy lives and I’m sure Matt also has a full-time job as well as a family to look after. But that’s it.Overall, I couldn’t recommend Folkestone Computer & Laptop Repairs higher enough. I’d return in a heartbeat if anything goes unfortunately wrong in the future.Many thanks!
