Came here on a whim whilst visiting. Food is amazing and very reasonably priced! Highly recommend the loaded fries and the beef brisket burger! Its lovely and cosy and the staff are great, really go out of their way to make you feel welcome! 10/10 from us

Ordered the Rump Steak and it was cooked to perfection. Thoroughly enjoyed every bite of food eaten. The service was great and attentive. If I was to grumble about anything and it's really minor, would prefer personally to have my cutlery given before the meal comes out and not have to wait with the food infront of me waiting for cutlery. It was a matter of a minute, and the only reason I knocked a star off. The homey and quirky style layout of the pub was welcoming, decor was lovely, and the live band in the other room was a nice an unexpected touch, not overpowering and great to listen to. Will definitely revisit and would be happy to take friends along

Great country pub next to the canal with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating.Food and service was great.Will definitely be going again!

Today we visited with my wife and Grandma and was served by the lovely Maria, great customer service we were very satisfied with the service and the meals they were perfect and quantity was perfect as well. Will definitely return.

Absolutely delicious food. Everything was well cooked and the staff were very friendly. There was plenty of choice on the menu and it was all very reasonably priced. Can't wait to go back.

Great traditional pub sat right against the canal at Hest Bank. Wide range of beers and other drinks which can be enjoyed in the large rear garden.Not tried the food as I wasn't hungry, although it looked very nice.

The place is great and has plenty of places to sit. We were a big group and we had to preorder our food. Upon arriving, they didn't have our order. This was because a member of staff had us send it to their personal email and they were not in work. So the wait for food was longer than we expected.We all had roast dinners besides 1 person and the food was good for the most part. However, some items were missing and one member of our group found a hair in the food. Service was lacking at times, although the staff were friendly.

I had a Sunday lunch there. The food was good but there was just to much. I had a starter, soup, which was very nice. Then my main course came the portions were just so over powering I should not have had the soup. So be careful if you go because it will just outface you.

Nice place, cosy. Had small toy dog but bar area a bit full so they accommodated us corner of quiet eating area which was good.The better half had perfect fish & chips but my pie was almost inedible - pastry as hard as a rock. Only the soggy bottom and innards were edible. As I'd eaten those bits already didn't make a fuss but one service assistant throughout our meal was setting up knives and forks and saw but never thought to ask how things were. Partner did mention it when paying the bill and was told;Have had a few complaints about the pie""Oh it's just a thick pastry""One lady even thought it was still frozen".Vid and pic attached but hope the comments were passed to the chef and they were taken on board
