Newark Northgate Rail Station - National Car Parks

It's not the best train station around, but it doesn't necessarily have to be. To be fair, Newark is a comparatively small city, so there's really no need for a gigantic glammed-up train station, when this one still serves it's purpose. I had an okay time/experience here. My main issue, however, is tied to certain inconveniences I experienced here. The first is a lack of power outlets for customer use. My phone was almost dead and I desperately needed to charge, but there are hardly any power outlets around, unlike some other train station. Secondly, there's no spaces for sitting while you wait for your train. This can be quite frustrating and inconvenient, especially if your train is still a long way off.

Safe place to leave your vehicle, but £14.00 for a day! Come on LNER. I think you are having a laugh. Not any more.

Good train service could do with a bigger waiting area, My view is the coffee shop should be closer to waiting area

There are no parking spaces (11:30am) and I panicked n almost missed the train, because there are 7/10 large vehicles such as SUVs parking as well, hard to find a parking space which are increasing in number recently, but the parking spaces sizes are for normal vehicles(mine too), so it is difficult to get in and out of the car when large SUVs are parked on both sides of the parking lot. It would be nice if people could park at a correct angle or park in the white line if they could also consider other users. Thanks

Train station is very small, only a 15 minute walk to Newark castle station, lovely area nearby and supermarkets available (10 minute walk)

Parking was a disgusting. Trapped in the car park for 50 minutes.Simply beacuse they won't take cash .Zero assistance from the phone based attendance as all they wanted to know was my 'SATUS'

Can't fault it. Very friendly and helpful staff. The place is clean. Refreshments are available either platform.Readily available car parking.

a medium sized railway station with pkenty of facilities and well served by trains to and from, london, leeds, edinburgh, york,newcastle, nottingham lincoln

Beautiful and compact stationhas lift access on both sides of platformthe staff is very cordial and helpfulhas a lot of parking spaceand a taxi stand right outside the station1 mile to the city centergenerally takes around 5£ to reach the city center/london road or lombard streetVery good connectivity to the rest of UK

I don't drive myself I walk from Newark Castle to Newark North Gate train station when I'm traveling back up North from visiting down south there are parking spaces available yes and also taxi services available but not so easy to get a taxi from Newark Castle that I've experienced myself over the years of traveling by train.
