Absolutely appalling service not only do the taxis not turn up on time. My grandma of 93 years of age was hung up on and forced to wait outside without a lift. Due to the incompetence and extremely rude woman on the end of the phone. If you want to get anywhere DO NOT!!!!! Use this company. If I could give zero stars I would.

Every time I book they tell me a time, and it's at least half an hour longer than theye said. Waited an hour on Sunday, they told me 20 minutes. When I called to query it, they said she'd waited and left. We'd been stood outside, checking every taxi that pulled in. They're liars, I'm never ringing them again. This is my first ever review on here, I don't do it lightly, this company doesn't deserve business.

Left stranded yesterday when we rang very rude lady answering said I’m black listing you for swearing . Which was not true only asked where taxi was after 30 min waiting she as black listed us now . Have been using this firm for yrs never again

Avoid this company at all costs. A taxi was pre-booked two weeks in advance after offering a good competitive rate for a return journey to Cardiff Bay. When arriving at the destination we were asked to pay the full fee, but they tried to charge £40 higher than the quoted price when booking. The office refused to accept the original price and cancelled our return journey with them, leaving us stranded with no way home. When calling the company they hung up on us and refused to check who had confirmed our booking and quoted price.Appalling customer service and unreliable taxi company. The company also pleaded with us not to post a review of our experience but unfortunately I feel it’s important to let people know the risks of booking with Gwent Cars..

Awful company booked a taxi didn’t show up , phoned the company to be told it apparently waited for 10 . It never as we was waiting outside for the taxi

I’ve only given one star as I could not write a review without clicking on a star but it should be zero stars.I booked a taxi three weeks in advance with Gwent to pick us up last night. I had a message confirming the booking! I was concerned as the venue was in a field in the country with potentially no phone signal but was assured the taxi would turn up.I tried to phone Friday to confirm due to my concerns but there was no answer!I phoned yesterday morning when the lady said she wasn’t in the office but was 99% sure of the booking, I told her I would like it confirmed when she told me she’d contact me within a couple of hours but I heard nothing!Luckily I used a friends phone who had a signal at the venue to again confirm the taxi would be picking us up at midnight.The lady on the phone asked if I was a regular which I am not and said they don’t take out of town bookings (it was hardly out of town). She said I would have been asked to pay upfront which I wasn’t otherwise I would have. She said she would have been the only person to have given me a quote and she hadn’t when at the time of booking I was quoted with a price. I was obviously concerned at her questions and asked if I was going to be picked up by a taxi or stranded in the country. I also told her I have an illness and didn’t want to be stranded.The very rude lady then said she’d have to listen to the call when I told her I don’t appreciate being called a liar. She then had the cheek to call me rude and told me to book someone else and hung up on me.I was absolutely fuming and do not advise anyone book a taxi with them.I never write reviews but was disgusted by this.Luckily I was able to get in a friends taxi as I wouldn’t have been able to get a different taxi on on a busy bank holiday weekend.

Shocking. Prebooked taxi did not arrive, when chased I was assured it would be there within 5 minutes. 20 minutes later they are now cutting off my calls. All this in a day and age when women are feeling vulnerable to walk alone in the dark. I now have a 3 mile walk home in the dark as all other taxi companies fully booked.

Absolutely useless waiting over 45 mins for a taxi that was supposed to only be 15 mins a joke of a company

Brilliant service, fast, reliable, much better than dragon taxis. Thankyou very much to the lady who picked me up from St dials.
