Ladybelt Country Park
Lovely walk through the woods which leads into a massive open wild meadow where our dog could run free, follow the path at the edge of the wood to two ponds with bug hides...

It wasn't what I was expecting. The map online shows a circular walk and when we arrived it was more of a walk and then turn back, walk across a field and then back to the car park.If I knew what to expect I may have taken a picnic to make the most of it, however with all the dogs that were there, not on leads, I doubt this would have been a good idea either. There were nice views when on the field though and some interesting little things to look at beyond the field eg. An historic ice-house.The car park is only big enough for roughly 10/12 cars and there is nowhere else to park near-by. We visited on a weekend, but I would imagine during a weekday this would not be a good place to visit as there is a working quarry in operation in the centre of the 'walk'. (It wasn't in operation on the weekend).I won't be visiting here again, sorry.

JLoved it! Down side is.. Not well marked out as your walking around... So it's handy to actually read the map before you set off. But a great walk... This was recommended on a mums site for walks for buggys/toddlers... And I can confirm it's buggy friends and toddler friendly.Just be wise on the nettles. Some friendly people walking around the park too.Bewarned... Wellies in the winter especially around the carpark as it muddy bark.

It's a nice meadow with a little woodland walk, quite pleasant BUT the car park is limited to 1.8m height restriction...so no vans or people carriers, which seems like madness to me! (Because I have a people carrier that doesn't fit!)

A great park hiddenen away in the outskirts of Norwich. Plenty of open space for picnics and games, and a few extra features dotted around such as the ice house, a couple of ponds, a bug hotel and many info sheets detailing the local wildlife.

One of my favourite places to walk my dog! It’s a hidden gem, if you go at the right time you won’t come across anyone. Peaceful and quiet

We have only recently gotten around to walking here however today we took the plunge!! The car park is quite small but there is a little overflow over the road. However the area to walk in is pretty and had some great dens to add to/build in the woods, some blackberries to pick, insects and butterflies to spot (although today these were few and far between) and some lovely benches to sit at. Taking a picnic and having a nice relaxed lunch would be great there and there is lots of space just to run around, trees to hide behind and puddles to splash in!!The ice house is a nice little feature to visit on your walk as well as finding some lovely carved animals. We spent a couple of hours here just wandering so a nice afternoon or morning outing.Take care near the ponds - the banks are quite muddy (they are trying to grow some plants but they are not taking well) and a child can easily get down to them and get in as there is no fences so make sure to keep a hold of small people
