I have a 2010 model Land Rover Sport with just 80kish miles on the clock. I pay for a service plan so always take the car to a landcover dealership for its service and MOT. I've recently moved. So instead of taking it to Sytner in Stockport who always give a five star service I stupidly booked it in here. NEVER AGAIN!They called to tell me the car had failed it's MOT, fair enough, it's a 10 plate it usually does need something doing to get it through its MOT, but not 6k+ of work. I maintain the car by taking it to an independent Land Rover specialist in between its service and MOT. One of the items it failed on was not having a spare wheel. It's never had a spare wheel it has a spare wheel kit (the mould stuff and system to get it into the failed tyre). They wanted £1,500 for a spare tyre. I don't think so. I'd only had a tyre replaced the week before for £400 brand new by the road side.They asked me if my car had a private number plate and then made a point of stating that it was actually a 2010 plate and for that reason they would give me a discount. At no point did they mention the price. They just kept asking if I wanted to pick the ca up. I asked them to send me a quote for the work that needed doing. The quote total was the 6k+ mentioned above, however, there was a problem (other than them trying to charge £1,500 for a spare wheel), the totals for parts and labour didn't add up to the grand total of £6k+. When we mentioned this the employee was not even interested she just wanted to know if we were picking the car up.My husband called the person managing our service and MOT and was told we would get a call back in five minutes. Three hours later we finally got the call.They asked if I still wanted the service doing and before I could answer said, oh well that's already paid for isn't it of course you want it doing.The day after they sent the 'video' that comes with the service. It was a video of the outside of my car (I know what my car looks like) and the technician providing details of what I already knew.We picked the car up after the service and took it to the independent garage we normally use to do work throughout the year. They completed the MOT and we paid around £650 for the work needed to get it through its MOT.There is now way a Land Rover with just 80kish miles needs 6k+ of work, especially when it's maintained throughout the year.There are items that will need work on in the future of course, but not necessary to pass the MOT.A week later I received an email asking me to book in online for my cars appointment (I didn't have an appointment), I ignored it. The day after I missed a call from them. I called back, it was their customer experience team. I held the line (it kept saying I was first in line, thank you for your patience), after 40 minutes of waiting I gave up.The difference between the levels of customer service at Inchcape Chester and Sytner Stockport are large than the Mariana Trench.If they didn't want to handle a 2010 model Landrover they shouldn't have taken the booking in the first place.Over the past decade we have owned 3 land rovers and 2 jaguars. Yet the we didn't seem to meet the snobometre grade here.Next year, I'll got to Sytner Stockport, it's nowhere near where I live but well worth the visit. They also get our business next time we're buying a new or a used car.

Following a bad experience at an independent dealership we decided to go to Inchcape Chester to have a browseWe were greeted by Daniel Vincent who sat us down with a hot drink and just got to know us and what we were looking for, after a quick search on the computer we liked the look of two vehicles in stock.We were taken around each car (Jaguar F Pace) shown the differences in specification and offered a test drive. We instantly fell in love with the car and now the only thing we were worried about was the price per month…Daniel gave us our PX figure which we were happy about and the car came in a lot better than we thought! We ironed out a few details regarding pick up date and time, and today we finally collected! We honestly couldn’t be happier and will 100% be returning to this dealership to see Daniel.We were also introduced to the Sales Manager and Business Manager and again they couldn’t be more helpful.Daniel is a credit to the company and we couldn’t stop talking about the customer service the whole drive homeWell done Inchcape!

Considering I was so far from the dealership he would always send me very in detail videos showing all the bits you wouldn’t expect to be shown. He even went above and beyond to help out with a private number plate transfer from my old vehicle. Thank you!

Visited looking at a range rover sport, from when we walked the customer service was amazing. We dealt with a rep called Andrew who took the time to listen to our situation and understood on a level that made us feel comfortable and confident that we were in the right hands. He took us round the car and left us to have a look ourselfs with no pressure while our range rover was being valued. We received in depth videos after the first phone call we made showcasing the vehicle. Very professional without being pressured, 10/10 amazing all round thanks and thanks Andrew for your patience and understanding.

Overall my experience of buying from you was very poor.I originally ordered my Velar in January. I then heard nothing until June when I proactively contacted you for an update. At that point I was told the order had been cancelled. No apology, no effort to improve the situation, just simply told it was cancelled and I’d need to order a more expensive car. I have no idea if or when I would have found out the order has been cancelled had I not asked for an update.Further poor service was then received when the second car I ordered arrived. The price I had I originally been quoted was changed without any explanation and I only found this out by reading the Finance agreement myself and spotting the inconsistency. It felt like I was expected to sign the agreement on a no questions asked basis, despite the change in cost.At the end of the day I have purchased a £60,000 car from yourselves and expect a level of service commensurate with the price and the premium brand I have purchased from. The service I have received was poor quality and I would definitely not use your dealership again nor would I recommend it.
