The Wise Hippo Birthing Programme - Wiltshire and Hampshire

If it wasn't for Kate's help,I can honestly say I wouldn't not still be breastfeeding my 2 month old. She's gives more than just advice,she made me believe I could do it. Any questions I had about anything, anytime of day,she was there to help,in anyway she could. Home vistis to help with positioning and latching. Giving me the confidence to feel I could feed in public. Thank you Kate,you've made a very difficult time,more bearable,making me a better mother ❤

I attended a trial on the programme and concepts behind wise hippo with Kate. She was brilliant. I came home feeling very positive about my upcoming birth which after my first son's birth I was starting to feel very anxious. Kate has a very friendly and welcoming approach making it easy to interact and ask questions. I felt the programme really understood how important having a relaxed birth is, making sure it's right for you what ever the outcome, it's your body and your choice but also working with the health professionals to have an enjoyable experience. Also making it ok to use pain relief rather than making this seen as a failure which so many other programmes tend to do.I ended up having a very quick labour and gave birth at home as there wasn't enough time to go to the hospital. I can honestly say that I was scared as this was a suprise to me but I don't think it was as scary as it might have been had I not been on Kate's course and believed and trusted my body could do this on it's own.I use therelaxation techniques and paid for a copy of the relaxation music (as I only did a trial) in my day to day runnings. As with two children things can become quite hectic!! and it has been very beneficialX
