Hampton Court Palace
If you get excited about history, amazing houses, garden mazes, art, incredible gardens in general, or any or all of the above then this is definitely one for the bucket list!We had a blast!Walking in the footsteps of Henry VIII and entourage, George 1st and William III was simply amazing.Prices were reasonable, exhibits were well presented and accessible, a long way from the dull memories of my youthful - being dragged along by the parents" - experiences.Highly

Hampton Court Palace
One of the last remaining Tudor palaces, dating back to the 16th Century. After which King Henry VIII (and his six wives moved in).Surrounded by beautiful gardens, this historical site is an absolute must for any and everyone. I've heard that the Court is spectacular during the Christmas season, when will be my next visit. Enjoy.

Hampton Court Palace
Amazing palace. The size of the palace and grounds is quite large so be sure to plan for plenty of time (3+hours). There is an audio tour available which I did not use. It was enough for me to see the room and read the descriptions and signs. Very well done. The curators have done a great job in making history come alive. Will come back for more.

Absolutely beautiful and worth the trip out there. For those unfamiliar with public transit, we found it easy to get there with the tube and then southwest railway. You can just use your contactless card/Apple Pay the whole way here.We bought tickets online, although probably didn’t need to as there was no line on the Thursday late morning we got there. The staff recommended stopping in the gift shop for a free audio guide/tour. This was a wonderful suggestion and I would say is a necessity to really get the whole experience. There’s no set path to where you need to start first, but the audio guide sort of eludes to starting from the kitchens first, although that’s where we ended up finishing.Enjoy the history and take in the sights. We got there about noon and left around 3:00 including a stroll through all the gardens and maze. We’re not the type to take in every detail but we don’t breeze past things either.Worth the money and the trip.

Slightly out of the way from Central London (about 45 minutes ride from Waterloo), but it is well worth the trip. The palace itself is probably my favourite (stunning work) and the surrounding gardens are wonderful as well. Fully recommend and has enough to keep you busy for a day.

Wonderful place to visit. A mixture of centuries of history with world famous characters, grandiose rooms and beautiful gardens. The free audio guides are a plus. There is a lift for people with disabilities as well. Unfortunately, the chocolate kitchen was closed when we visited. You can easily spend 5 hours there without getting bored. The price is a bit expensive if going with the whole family though.

What an incredible experience! The palace is wonderfully well preserved, and has copious amounts of educational content. Free audio guides will lead you through the different sections and provide interesting insights in every room. Not only is it a feast for the eyes in terms of architecture, art, and historical artefacts, but fans of royal history will be satisfied with some of the most juicy and interesting stories from English history. It’s definitely worth the £26 ticket!

Hampton Court Palace has been on my ‘places I need to visit’ list for far too long – so one sunny September morning we decided to head to Hampton Court and finally pay it a visit. We caught the train so we got 2-for-1 entry – which was very good value. The station is only a few moments’ walk away, and it’s impressive crossing over the Thames and seeing the sheer scale of the palace in front of you.Once scanned in, you are free to explore the palace as you see fit. The palace itself is stunning, with a rich history dating back to the 16th century. It’s impeccably well kept, and I was impressed with how something so old and large could be in such good condition. There are lots of different areas and exhibits to explore around the palace, and you can spend hours just wandering the halls and discovering different rooms. Some highlights for me included The Great Hall, the Tudor kitchens and The State Apartments. For me, the most impressive thing about Hampton Court Palace was the gardens – they are absolutely gorgeous and again, immaculately kept. There are formal gardens, informal gardens, woodland gardens, and even a kitchen garden. I especially loved the Privy Garden - a beautiful formal garden with intricate flowerbeds, fountains, and statues overlooking the Thames – truly spectacular. We had a child in our party, but they were well catered for, with a big hedge maze (the oldest in the UK), a massive play area and plenty of places to explore. We did stop in the café for an ice cream and as most tourist attractions, it was quite expensive – but was good quality and with plenty of seating.Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Hampton Court Palace. The palace is vast, so make sure you set aside at least half a day to explore everything it has to offer. The gardens are especially stunning!

We heard about this from friends and we’re so glad we came. Learned a lot and even my youngest enjoyed it (she is 11). Really thought the tour of the kitchens was a cool part of the castle. If you want to see it all get ready to do a lot of walking. With the grounds and castle it’s a lot.

If you're a fan of the Tudors then this is the place to visit. There is so much history in this place. I spent three hours here and was only able to see about half of the palace before closing. I used a London Pass and there were no queues. I visited during the off-peak season in September. Overall a very enjoyable visit.
