I've been frequenting this lake for years and it's always maintained, there is an excellent variety of wildlife both in the lake, around its banks and in the surrounding woodland. Perfect place to take the kids to get some fresh air.I'd go as far to say that tilgate is by far the largest open green area in West Sussex, there's something for everybody there:Go ape.Smith and Western.If you include K2, gym, swimming, and loads of other sporting activities.Nature walks.The Nature centre.Fishing.Boating.Mountain biking trails.Honestly the list goes on and on.

At the end of the larger lake in Tilgate park, nothing particularly special about it. Some nice walks once you are past it though.
