A few words to thank Bernie for the great job he did on my party wall. He is a high calibre professional, responsive and extremely talented at what he is doing. His support was all the more invaluable that my party wall was complicated by the fact that we are talking about an old house with non traditional beam structure. Pricing was transparent and clearly outlined before any payment was taken. Plus Bernie managed to cut costs by rationalising down the number of surveyors involved. Highly recommended, would def use his services again in the future.

Difficult from start to finish for a very simple job! Started with a fundamental error misidentifying a short party wall which was in fact a boundary wall (!) causing unnecessary delays. Making unnecessary visits and calls and adding them to his billable hours and to cap it all off, delaying signing the Party Wall Agreement unless we accepted his ridiculous fees - offering a ‘discount’ if we didn’t contest it. All this despite advice from his industry governing body saying this is not acceptable behaviour AND indicating the fees are unreasonable. We have dealt with many surveyors over the years, both for our previous homes and as adjoining neighbours and all were straightforward and reasonable. This is the first time we have had such an experience. Frustrating is an understatement. My advice is to steer well clear, there’s absolutely no need to put up with this level of service. We have made a formal complaint to the Faculty Of Party Wall Surveyors who we have been in touch with throughout the whole horrible process.

We engaged Bernie a few weeks ago in respect of a party wall award. We were in a real rush. Bernie acted with great efficiency and explained what is, otherwise, quite a baffling area for lay people. He was super responsive, always responding to emails within hours (sometimes minutes) and always on the same day. Also, his fees are very reasonable and excellent value for the level of service he provides. Thanks Bernie!

When searching for a Party Wall Surveyor I called around a few places to get quotes and also try to understand the process. Bernie was by far the most proactive and honest surveyor I found. In the first call he explained the entire process to me and gave me a good indication of what to expect from all scenarios.
