Mad Mutts!

Had a lovely afternoon being introduced to mad mutts. Very welcoming and really looking forward to getting involved with our dogs and having some fun . Lovely spot to train with our dog in a safe and exciting environment for both humans and dogs

This lady is absolutely AMAZING. We cannot recommend her enough. Karen's insight and knowledge is undeniable. She was able to see thing's we couldn't and having her support was life changing. With a trio of terriers, you can't take chances and we managed to see a way out of some problematic and stressful issues. Thank you so much for everything Karen xx

Karen offers experience dog training and is very knowledgeable. In fact, she's an absolute star!! Very reasonably priced as well!

Would highly recommend Karen as a dog trainer. Came over for 2 one on one sessions to help with our Jack Russell. We had a few issues with separation anxiety and lead pulling. She came over and showed us tips with the lead and different things we can do out on a walk. Hugely helped us with being able to leave the house without my dog having a full meltdown. With plenty of consistency and being able to ask Karen for support we will have the dog we’ve always wanted! Thank you so much again Karen for everything.

We can't recommend Karen and her team at Mad Mutts enough! So much knowledge as a trainer and a behaviourist. We have a fearful GSD and Karen & team have given great tips on how to modify any unwanted behaviours.

I would thoroughly recommend Karen, she is fantastic! I booked a one-to-one training session as had a few small issues that I hoped to resolve. After just one meeting with Karen our dog can now walk on a loose lead, come to (most!) recalls and has calmed down around other dogs (plus a host of other helpful tips). Great value, very knowledgeable and friendly service. My dog is a special case and Karen wasn't able to help, but true to her word, she provided a refund. If you are worried about wasting money on something that doesn't work, you are safe here, so it's worth a try. Karen clearly knows what she is doing and it's obvious that her methods work for most people and their dogs.

We had Karen come visit us today to help with Jack" our little Jack Russell who pulls on his lead and generally does not listen to you at all! I must say the transformation in Jack in just a few hours is truly amazing

Attended the Social Mutts class with my border collie and was quite disappointed by the class. There were three highly reactive, barking dogs as the other attendees in the class and yet my border collie seemed to be taking the brunt of the blame for staring at them (which yes, she will do if they are barking!), whilst I completely appreciate the need for my dog to relax her gaze, she cannot be held responsible for the behaviour of other dogs. It was also very confusing that the session started with seemingly one trainer, and then others who I thought were just class attendees started telling me what to do with my dog and even taking her lead and trying to correct her. It was not until later that I gathered these were also staff at the class, this needed to be clarified at the beginning. It felt very much like an “in at the deep end” experience with no visual barriers and insufficient space between dogs due to the small size of the hall and no visual barriers in place, so not setting dogs up to succeed at all. There was very little direction and it felt like a chaotic undertaking from start to finish. I was also very shocked by some of the corrective techniques being used by the trainer on another dog, yanking it quite hard on the neck in the name of “training” it to walk through a threshold after the human - when seeing this I was absolutely not willing to allow my dog to be handled by the trainers. All in all me and my dog did not feel welcomed in the class and did not enjoy ourselves. We have been to many other successful dog training classes and had a fantastic time, but unfortunately this was a case of learning that not all environments suit me and my dog, and a class I would not recommend or attend again (despite having paid for a run of 4 classes, I will certainly not be back for classes 2 - 4)

Great experience from Karen with 2 sessions helping us with Milo our reactive Romanian rescue . Setting us on the right path to now progress withall the right tips as to where we were going wrong . Thank you Karen, can highly recommend.
