Windows on Wildlife photography hides and workshops

Great Day!The birds just didn't stop arriving at the Reflection Pool and the Harvest mice and props were great. I would definitely recommend Dean's setup to any Photographer wanting to capture great wildlife shots.Stuart

Spent a fantastic day at this comfortable and well equipped hide. The hide overlooks a beautiful reflection pool, with a variety of perches on either side. I was kept busy photographing a constant stream of woodland birds throughout the day. I also spent a wonderful 2 hours photographing the cute harvest mice that Dean breeds, under licence from Defra, for repopulation. Highly recommended for wildlife photographers of any level, I’ve already booked a return visit.

We booked a combination photography experience incorporating birds and mice, and it didn’t disappoint. The bird hide was well equipped and comfortable. There was activity for the entire duration and a range of choices for variety of natural compositions. Dean is on hand to answer questions, he is very helpful and experienced. It’s so comforting to know the mice are released into the wild, helping their survival. We will be booking again! I have been to a few hides and this was by far one of the best.

Dean made me welcome as soon as I arrived. The location is beautiful: on the edge of a field filled with wild flowers. The hide was very well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities and comfy adjustable chairs. The bird hide set-up made it very easy to take good quality photos and there were many species of birds to watch.The field mice were very cute and ethically handled. It was a thoroughly enjoyable, relaxing day and I hope to revisit soon.

I would give far more stars if I could! Dean, firstly, is one of the loveliest people you could meet, and his love and care of the mice is wonderful. He is knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions but gives you space to photograph too. My brother and I did the climbing themed mice shoot and it was amazing! We were super lucky with the conditions weather wise, and the mice were so unbearably adorable! Worth every penny and I'd love to go back - cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you Dean!

WoW, doesn't only mean Windows on Wildlife!What a lovely combination day.Dean made me feel comfortable right from meeting him in the carpark.A very helpful ,friendly guy.Those little mice are too cute.I hadn't realized the site had suffered damage in the recent storm, some hard work has been done to get it up and running again.The hide is very comfortable, even on a cold,windy day.I'm currently working my way through hundreds of pictures.I would definitely love to return maybe in the spring or summer to experience a different variety of birds.When Dean says wear appropriate footwear, do!After endless recent rainfall, it is very wet underfoot on the short walk to the hide from the car.

A fabulous day! The hide is comfortable and well appointed and everything is well organised by Dean and runs like clockwork. The Harvest Mice are beyond cute and the set up is very imaginative.I can't recommend this highly enough and will definitely return.

Excellent facility with attention to detail in every aspect. The hide is extremely comfortable and very well equipped, with a huge variety of birds to photograph within a lovely well thought out setting. The harvest mouse workshop is a joy in every aspect. Lots of different scenes and the welfare of the animals is paramount. Dean is friendly and welcoming and is a font of knowledge, which he is willing to share with you. Highly recommended.

Dean is such a great host. He made us feel most welcome. The Woodland pool bird hide is set up so naturally that we saw 14 different types of birds in the 4 hours we were there. Plus 2 Squirrels. I just can't wait to do the Harvest Mice workshop again. We did it 4 years ago and it was the most amazing thing I have has the pleasure to do. So a big thank you to Dean for making nature more accessible and so much fun.
