Thomas Jones Primary School

We are delighted to have our 2 children attend Thomas Jones School. They love going to school and teatime at home often revolves around what the Head said at assembly and it's nice to see their imagination being constantly captivated. The leadership team instil confidence in the children to realize their potential and collectively learn from each other. We love the teachers - they are approachable, easy to talk to, caring and exuberant. The children are nurtured, intellectually challenged and given opportunities that are tailored to their individual abilities. Fantastic school!

Thomas Jones School is an exceptional school. The Headteacher and his staff are very caring and supportive towards their pupils and families. The pupils are pushed to perform well and achieve great results. The school provides all the resources to their teachers as well as their pupils. The head teacher and his staff went well beyond to support all the children and their families that survived the Grenfell tragedy. I will always recommend the school to any parents. My children enjoyed their primary years in this school especially my daughter.

We knew about the school well before we moved into this area. Actually we only moved closer to the school in a hope that one day our daughters could go to this amazing school. About school, I can't really do justice with anything I write here. It is peerless for its welcoming teachers, staff and brilliant headteacher. The change in daughters behaviour is so obvious that we have observed now she is more confident, independent, kind and friendly" which is the spirit of the school. The school has all the attributes of a private school and we are so fortunate that my little girl is going into their nursery program and we are hoping that she will continue in this school come September when hopefully she will start Reception."

-We’ll look back at our children’s time at Thomas Jones as life changing for them.-We’ve witnessed our children develop a hunger for learning, empathy for their fellow man and watched their self esteem grow.-A lifelong love of literature is established in what seems like an effortless and natural way.-Good comportment and presentation are also encouraged here - skills of paramount importance for a youngster making their way in the world , and it’s love and positivity which cradles these lessons.-We can’t speak highly enough about Mr Sellens ‘ leadership and those teachers and supporting staff who sail with him in this good ship.- If only every child could have an education and preparation for the world of this standard.

Thomas Jones is an exceptional school with highly dedicated staff. They maintain extremely high standards through providing both support and nurture for children to achieve. The energy and focus of the staff raises the expectations not just of the school but of the whole community.

We feel incredibly lucky that both our children have benefited from this wonderful community school. Head teacher David Sellens OBE and his talented teachers and staff provide a top-class education which is underpinned by outstanding pastoral care. Every child is encouraged and supported to be ambitious and aim high. This is simply an outstanding school in every way.

Thomas Jones is a school driven by its values - of warmth and respect, of caring and kindness and of empathy and resilience. The resulting whole-school ethos underpins the kind of academic rigour that only comes with detailed and thoughtful planning delivered with a light touch. The school focuses heavily on core subjects of English and Maths, but also supports learning skills and encourages intellectual curiosity that span all subjects, in and out of the school. Thomas Jones' teaching and support staff are its greatest asset - a nicer and more caring and committed bunch of professionals you will not find anywhere. The school's achievements can not just be evidenced in its excellent Ofsted reports, but perhaps more importantly in the comportment of the pupils themselves. They clearly feed off the school's ethos and are kind to each other, obviously eager to learn and, palpably, have immense pride at being able to call themselves a Thomas Jones pupil. The BEST primary school there is. I am very grateful to have my 3 children attend this amazing school. The moulding of any young child is most important and knowing that my children are in this school is a peace of mind for me as they are learning the best from the best. They ensure that you child is better then they think they are and brings out their potential and prepares them for the bigger world of schooling. Fantastic Teachers with so much passion for teaching lead by an Exceptional Head Teacher and an wonderful Deputy. And not forgetting a great team of Admin staff and the rest of the staff at Thomas Jones. Simply that. Well Done Thomas Jones and Thank you!!

Thomas Jones is a fantastic, nurturing and forward thinking school. The staff are extremely warm and welcoming. I could not be more happier that my daughter is there. All the children seem happy. The teaching is outstanding and my child enjoys the first class teaching and learning. She is very happy at the school. I love the community feel at Thomas Jones. I would say that Thomas Jones is positively unique.

Thomas Jones is a truly remarkable school. The teaching is of the highest standard, but that is only part of its magic. The brilliant headteacher David Sellens and his exceptional staff instil warmth, curiosity, respect, passion and compassion in all their students. Mr. Sellens manages to make each child feel special. They seem to glow in his presence. I can say in all sincerity that it is a privilege to have our children at this school and to have this school in our lives.
