Found this place on Facebook from a recommendation and the reviews we're good on google too. Just came in to have some trousers shortened and band added to the waist. I’ve had this done in many places and it's quick. But she quoted me £30! When I asked how long it would be she said she didn’t know exactly but it could be before next weekend because it’s a lot of work. I said how long does it take she didn’t answer that question as a qualified seamstress.I also brought in another dress and she said to take in the lining would take weeks. She then suggested I go elsewhere, what small business owner in these times turns away business?She was extremely hostile from the moment I walked in and I wouldn’t recommend this place, especially if you’re not ‘from here’.

Very good value and very swift service. I brought them a damaged hoodie which was pretty teared up just at the lower back seam. They fixed it in 10 minutes and charged me only 3 quid.The seam is invisible, there is no way to see that this hoodie was all teared up, it look like new. I definitely recommend!

Very helpful and attentive staff/owner. My daughter was getting her wedding dress altered after work had been done for her bridesmaids. Very happy with the work and for a good price.

I dropped off a cashmere mix jumper for repair that I had put in a 'delicates' wash in washing machine but had still emerged with a hole in it where it must have caught in the machine. I was not overly optimistic that it could be mended without puckering where hole was and looking terrible but dropped it in anyway.I am SO impressed with the result, can't see where it was repaired at all, really fantastic job! Thanks for your care and skill, it was a brand new jumper, first time it had been washed, so delighted to have it restored! I'll hand wash from now on :-)100% recommend this service, will use again.

AVOID UNLESS YOU CAN AFFORD TO OAY WAY OVER THE ODDS!!!!! Absolutely shocking experience, wife’s wedding dress left in and no quote given at first. I had to run about getting what she asked for beads for belt and cups. there wasn’t much work to be done on the dress yet when finished she tried to charge £300, considering our friend has got hers done for £80 and we had 7 bridesmaid dresses and 2 kids suits altered for total of £100 she is ridiculous.

Asked for a zip on my jacket to be swapped as it had broken. I was told it would be £30 and take a week (wasn’t happy with the price but I needed it done so I agreed!). I came back a week later to find nothing had been done. If she didn’t have the time I wish she’d just told me, I would have gone elsewhere!

Got trousers taken in around the lower leg. Got them back and I could barely get my legs in. I believe she took a lot more off than what she pinned back. I took them back to get them fixed and she was very rude and blamed me. Unless my claves grew about 2 inches thicker overnight she definitely made a mistake here. Got them back a second time and I'm at at loss to see what she's done as their still exactly the same. (Charged me £15 instead of the £16 I paid the first time round, thanks for the massive discount, I'm now £31 out of pocket and the trousers still don't fit) Going to take them to a different alterations store and get them sorted properly.
