Been a long term customer at Cyclebasket. An easily underestimated cycleshop that's (physically) stocked to the rafters with good quality, functional gear. Martin won't sell you something you don't need and will give you excellent advice on options. If they havent got it in stock,they can get it. Still using wheels I had built by them 15 years ago. A hidden gem that many go out of their way to reach.

So glad I had left my wheels to Martin as I was pleasantly surprised when I got the call that they were completed 2 weeks before they were supposed to...that was during lockdown too!Service is top class with a reassuring sense of quality craftsmanship from a very knowledgeable and friendly gentleman who certainly knows a lot more about bikes than I do.Very helpful in advising on the best materials to use on the new bike build. Had a custom wheelset built here and the finish and build was flawless. 6 months of MTB use in the mountains of wales and the wheels have stayed true.Highly recommended.

I placed an online order for spokes. They arrived within 24 hours of the order being placed.That would be great service in normal times. But with the current covid19 situation is above the beyond what you would expect. All at a great price to.

Great service and advice from Martin at CycleBasket with very competitive pricing a bonus.I originally ordered just a couple of parts online for my retro road bike rebuild which were followed up by a quick email from Martin clarifying a couple of points.This led to some further discussion about my project and resulted in me buying a number of other components from Martin, with him going out of his way to source some specific items from his suppliers.Overall very impressed - service like it should be from somewhere other than a big chain store.

I found Martin extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He listened to what I wanted to achieve and created a fantastic bike for me to my specification. I am 14 stone and have regularly broken spokes in my rear wheels - he suggested building wheels with 36 spokes to suit my needs and although I haven't ridden many miles yet I haven't had a murmur from them.Martin has created me a fantastic Audax bike that rides beautifully and is very comfortable. He spent a long time sizing me and making sure everything was correct for my build and various limb lengths. The service I received far exceeded the service I have previously received at some of the 'big' names where I spent twice as much.Even the colour was chosen by myself which has made my bike feel even more special.Ian

The chap that runs the shop has comprehensive and expert knowledge and can be relied on to do a first class repair. I bought a Nelson frame and he transferred the components from another bike. I have been over the moon with the bike.I understand the negative comment from the person with a puncture, however this really is something that all cyclists should be able to do themselves at any age.

First on-line purchase was perfect.A hard to find part prompted the order. Postage was significant versus other sites but the order arrived next working day by tracked UPS. Very happy and would not hesitate to use again.

Martin is the most knowlegable cycle mechanic I've ever come across. If you need just advice, a wheel rebuild or even a complete new bike this is the place for you. It's an Aladdin's cave of spares and accessories. Competitively priced.
