I do not recommend.I booked and paid for the service here (maximum one hour of work). After leaving the car, they promised to call me when it was ready. after five hours of waiting, I couldn't stand it and came to ask what was wrong with my car. The employees didn't seem busy when I arrived, and yet they told me they wouldn't be able to repair my car today. I had the impression that they preferred to serve other customers.

Do not take your car there if you want it repaired. I have taken my car there for an MOT several times and been satisfied (but no faults). Took my vehicle in for diagnostics as two lights on the dash. Picked it up and was charged £45 to be told there was problems with the things the lights were on for but that they didn't have the expertise to do anything about them and I would have to take the vehicle for another diagnostic at a more specialised garage. They couldn't even give a proper print out of the fault codes. They did not warn before taking the vehicle in that they basically can't do anything at this garage and it would save a lot of money and time to take it somewhere else.

After being over the allotted time for tyre change and alignment and not being very useful I collected my car and made my way to work. When I checked the wheel nut key was missing. They said they definitely put this back but I assured them it wasn’t there. They said they would phone back after looking but never did. I can’t back 2 hours later and said that I need this replacing as can’t be without it. They wanted me to drive in the next day so they can measure and order a new one. Before I made the trip the next day I had my MOT elsewhere and told them what happened. The MOT technician spotted that the Halfords guys had left my wheel nut key in the wheel!!! Firstly he was surprised it had stayed in and hadn’t hit someone going along the a14. Also, that I didn’t have an accident as the halfords guys hadn’t tightened all the wheels. I paid for him to check the car completely as I felt unsafe at this point. I rang halfords and they weren’t exactly sympathetic. They have definitely lost my custom!

Expensive and mechanics are not as knowledgeable as others in the area. Originally quoted me about 1k for works on my car. A different mechanic did the same thing for 600£ and seemed far more knowledgeable than these guys.Very polite and didn’t do anything wrong apart from that.

Place wise 0 star. No place to sit. Ugly toilet. No heating. No water No tea. No coffee. Slow service. But cheap cost and do the service. Can be much better.

Terrible experience, avoid at any cost. Failed my car at MOT for several reasons. They were saying I will pay hundreds of pounds for repairs (my car is not even worth that much) and they also said it will take a few days to fix it.I took my car to the local garage instead next day, they did repairs and MOT and my car was ready in 4h! With very minimal cost.Also the guy from Halfords had terrible attitude so it's for sure I am not going back there ever again. It was well worth to pay MOT again elsewhere and also they treated me with respect and did not overcharge me.

Friendly, knowledgeable and professional staff. Booking, check in and payment were super easy and smooth. I found the pricing very reasonable, much cheaper than my local garage and even came in under what was originally quoted. Work was completed in good time too - if only they had called to let me know car was ready, it would be five stars! Would definitely recommend and will be a repeat customer based on service I received today

Took car in with engine management light on dash; was told it was the servicing light. Picked car up later and the light was still on the dash (after they had serviced the car); they then got rid of the light when I mentioned it was still there. After driving about 10 miles engine management light comes back on. Took car elsewhere and got it sorted out. My concerns were dismissed and bloke was disinterested. I did not appreciated being messed about and having time wasted: although I find Halfords good in general my experience here was very poor.

Dropped my car off at 8.30am as instructed in online booking and was told it would take about an hour (it said the same online). After two hours my car still wasn’t in the garage and when I asked I was told it would take another 2 hours or so. Unacceptable. I will not be returning.

They crashed my campervan and couldnt care less. I watched with my own eyes them scrapping against boxes and gas bottles on the way out of the shop. Mortified. No apology. Could not even diagnose the issue.Definitely not using them again. Cowboy technicians. It's called HALFRAUDS for s reason.
