I purchased an Audi from Select Car Shop and was dealing with Muhammad. Initially it seemed to be a straightforward transaction; but from hereon, everything went downhill and I was fed one lie after another. In a nutshell, a sale and price (£32,600) was agreed and I had left a £1k deposit and had an agreement in place. Oddly, in that same discussion, he mentioned that he was getting lots of enquiries on the car and he would put the price up by another £1k and despite me purchasing the car, it was still advertised on their site at a higher price £33,500. Muhammad said the car just needed a new tyre and windscreen repair, but then that became an EMS light coming on and the car not being deemed “roadworthy”. He then said that they couldn’t do a deal and that they were cancelling the sale. However in that discussion, Muhammed mentioned that due to the cost of the repairs, they could not do a deal with me, despite having a written agreement in place. This was followed by one lie after another and despite me saying that I would wait for the car to be repaired, he said that they were pulling the car from their website and sending it to Audi for repairs and refunding my deposit and making out he was doing it for my benefit as the car was not roadworthy and he felt these same issues would reoccur. I told him I was happy to wait for the repairs, but he was adamant that the car was not roadworthy and they were pulling from their website and refunding my deposit. The car was never pulled from their website, in fact it is still advertised, just this time the price has increased to £34,500, a £2k increase for a car not deemed roadworthy by him.Nothing he was saying stacked up and in the end, I told him I was not confident buying from them and to refund my deposit. This process took another 2 days of chasing, despite him saying it had been done and then backtracking and the finally processing after me chasing.These guys have positive feedback on their other reviews, so I can’t comment on the business as a whole, but this was THE worst car buying experiences I have ever experienced and Muhammad proved himself to be dishonest and unprofessional and then somewhat arrogant. Happy to have not purchased a car from a business such as this in the end. The unroadworthy car is still up for sale at an even further inflated price. Happy to share screen shots of all text conversations with any prospective buyers. I’d steer clear.

Recently bought a lovely Mercedes AMG GLC 43 from these guys, buying experience from start to finish was second to none. Anders and team went above and beyond for me and I couldn’t of asked anymore of them and nothing was too much trouble. A great company to deal with and I received a first class service from Andres who was very helpful. They hold stock of the highest quality and have access to good rates though their finance brokers. I was also very pleased with their after care. Highly recommended.

Purchased Macan from them it was a smooth process. However after 3 weeks of owing the vehicle, found out all 4 tyres are only have 2-3 mm tread on. Also rear break pads both need to be replaced and cost £1300 to get everything fixed.Spoke to Andres and he showed clean MOT report, just wondering how could that be passed with no advisory? Unless they used some cheap and dodgy garage. Andre's said there is nothing he can do but surely the car cannot have that much problems after only 3 weeks of ownership right?

I think you know what you want when you buy a car from Select Car Shop Ltd as their range of vehicles is top end. My purchase was managed by the very knowledgable and likeable Andreas whose non-pushy approach was very refreshing.Tired of long waiting lists (I got fed up waiting for my new Merc!) Give Andreas a ring and I'm sure he's got something for you as I bought an immaculate BMW instead....and it's a beaut!!

5* service from start to finish. Andreas’s attentiveness and professionalism was second to none, his previous knowledge and years in the industry were really highlighted through this transaction and if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t of secured my perfect motor. Searching for the right car was becoming stressful and my patience was lacking, however when I came across Select Car and Andreas the process became smooth, stress free and very relaxed. This was a massive highlight for me and the service provided right up to the handover was faultless. I would stress to anyone searching for their dream car to get in touch with Andreas, you will not be disappointed. After months of what felt like disappointment I had my offer secured, car ready to collect and home within a few days. Thank you again!

Review update. I bought a MB CLS. The buying experience was great, after sales was abysmal! Let me explain with details;1. I bought the car with 3 months warranty, I asked for the warranty information which was only provided after a few calls detailing faults and demanding a resolution (I noted the start date of the warranty was from the last call demanding a resolution, not the purchase date) so Select Cars did not purchase and provide the warranty as per the buying contract.2. Within 4 weeks I had an engine warning light which was the noc sensor (see point 1 above about the warranty) once the warranty was in place I was informed this wasn't covered.3. I had a tyre pressure sensor fault light on from day 1, which the guys said was due to the wheel refurbishment and this would turn off after a few miles. It didn't and was a sensor fault which is a MOT failure (MOT was due within 3 months).4. MOT day and I find the wing mirror indicator isn't working (I should have tested this on viewing, so my fault). Again an MOT failure.Like I said, buying was great, but will not be doing it again from Select Cars!
