Cutting Edge Painting

Brett and Steve recently completed exterior work on our house and we are very pleased with the result - the communication and workmanship was first class so I highly recommend their services. We have some interior work that needs doing and we won't be ringing anyone else.

I got several quotations for a complete re-painting job on the outside of our house - a large-ish Victorian semi. I chose Cutting Edge Painting (Brett Rutherford) - not the lowest quote - and I'm really glad I did. Brett knows his stuff, is highly experienced, and does the work himself, along with Steve. This means he knows and explains exactly what is going on at every stage, and he communicated this very well to the custoner (me). A few unexpected problems arose, high up at the roof level, that could not be seen from the ground. But, as throughout, he showed me what the problem was, why it needed fixing, how it would be done, and later showed me how it had been done.The quality of the final result depends a great deal on the thoroughness of preparation, and the attention to detail there was as good and clear as the painting work itself. The quality of the final result is excellent, and the cost of a few necessary repairs along the way was very reasonable. With any job on your home it can be hard to know whether what was promised was actually carried out. I have no such concerns here. Brett's trustworthiness was evident in everything he did. I'm very happy to recommend his work to others.

Found this company on line having been disappointed with previous decorators. From the moment they arrived to assess the work to the moment they left, Brett and his brother Steve were exceptionally professional. Turned up when they said they would; cleaned up properly every day and were helpful; knowledgeable and flexible. They managed to remove 30 year old painted textured wallpaper without damaging the walls (the first for this house!) and made light work of painting an old brick fireplace as well as preparing and painting ceilings, woodwork and walls. It wasn’t the cheapest quote we received but we liked their professional attitude so we booked them. Really pleased we did as the level of craftsmanship and finish was worth every penny. Definitely hire them again and recommend them to anyone.
