The hot towel is so relaxing. Always leave the shops happy, they offer Turkish teas and coffees which are delicious!Definitely recommend!!

Been here a few times over the years, used to be ok with this 1 guy who cut hair but I’ve not seen him the last 2 times I’ve been here when my usual place has been closed. Never again will I visit, the last I had this weekend was the worst haircut I’ve ever had.They’re fine if you want a very short hair cut as they don’t seem to listen if you ask to leave the top of the back and sides long or just trimmed with scissors not shaved. They just shave all the way up and even the top of my head at the back has been shaved where my crown is so that will stick up wildly in a week or so - brilliant. This guy who also seemed to be hungover from the smell of him and the bags under his eyes should not be cutting hair.Also sprayed my beard black without even asking and shaved to a sharp line on my cheeks despite me saying I wanted it natural with just rogue hairs trimmed - I came out looking more like Rylan Clark minus the teeth than I did myself.They also decided to try and make customers book for a while which is laughable really for a barbers and I felt really unwelcome at first the second to last time I went about 6-9 months ago, they did cut it after making me feel terrible for not booking despite the fact 2 of them were doing literally nothing at the time. Did they really think they were that good that men would actually bother to ring in advance? Clearly that didn’t work out so well as I noticed a large sign in the window now saying walk-ins welcome.Hot towel machine wasn’t working but still charged me their top price for hot towel shave. Not the sort of business I want to give my hard earned money too either.Overall, don’t bother.

Very professional service with drinks on the house! Been coming her for the past 2 years and am always satisfied by Ibo’s service. He gives the best fades in town with a skilled set of hands for the razor. Highly recommend

Ibo and the guys are the absolute best in town. Always, always so welcoming and accommodatiotin. However, I recommend though come here .ore importantly for the exclusive hair, beard trims, facials,and hot towel massages. Excellent!! Please be sure to bring your kids too.. Thanks lads!!

I have been going to this barber since 2020 after the barber I have been going to for over 30 years retired and closed down. I have had the BEST haircut from this shop every time I visit - which is about every 5 weeks and it is always a pleasant experience. They charge for a haircut but you always receive a hot towel, flame on ear hairs, an arm and hand massage and a drink free as a courtesy which makes for a very nice experience. They also supply a loyalty card which offers a free face pack, shave and haircut after you fill each line which is a very nice gesture for regular customers.It is an absolute pleasure to visit the shop and I always walk out feeling that I have had value for money, a nice conversation and looking pretty good. I would have no hesitation in recommending this barber to anybody

First time I used Maxim Barbers after moving to the area, as the reviews were good and they were the only ones open on Sunday. Great experience. I was offered drinks, sweets and Turkish tea, which was delicious.Ibrahim (Ibo) took great care to trim and sculpt my beard exactly how I wanted it. He also carefully used hot wax for my ears and nose.Overall, a great experience. Highly recommended!

I've been going for many years and have never had a negative experiance. They are always polite, honest and offer a drink, and it doesn't matter if you live in the area or first time going. Always spot on with the cut and they are all good apples giving you what you ask for.

Probably one of the best cuts I've had in a very long time! So glad I found this place. Get the full Turkish treatment for £45. Beard trim/shave and ear and nose wax. So good!! Thank you for a great job and will definitely be back very soon.
