Stanground Surgery

Excellent service. Mrs Joanna Wachala who took my blood sample was extremely kind, helpful and so professional, thank you. Excellent understanding of my situation and advice given.

I attended an appointment with the Physiotherapist on the 8th of August at 0830 hrs. He was outstanding he listened to me and then examined me and was explaining how I could deal my problem. There was no rush and I was really impressed with his knowledge. He gave me an exercise regime to follow and leaflets to inform me about my condition as well as answering my questions. I could not have had any better treatment. Thank you so much for your professionalism.

Very polite and knowledgeable explained all that he was doing and what exercises I need to do. Also why my injury is like it is. After all this explaining it put my mind at rest. Very nice man and took his time

Was sent to this surgery for my Covid booster. Had to queue at the pharmacy for at least 15mins to register my arrival, then told to take a seat with no idea how long i had to wait. With now my appointment 35mins late, eventually someone asked for my nhs number which i didn't have on me as i wasn't told to produce it when i rang the Covid hotline to make an appointment. Was told they couldn't give the vaccination without the nhs number, so had to cancel the appointment. When i got home, i rang for a new appointment, the person on the phone said that i didn't need the nhs no, only a reference number, so basically that was an hour of my life i wouldn't get back.

Had to go for another blood test today and once again saw the lovely nurse Elena. There is no one better at taking blood than this nurse. She always says that there will be a little scratch, but I never feel a thing. In and out in 5 minutes!

Excellent call with Dr Garrett today regarding my child. After ending our call with further investigation needed they called back with more information putting my concerns at ease and able to move forward quickly and efficiently Very friendly and understanding a pleasure to speak with

The receptionist was very helpful, but waiting 53 minutes for a call to be answered is disgraceful. It is always pot luck as to how good the service will be and how helpful the team are. I realise the system is stretched to breaking pint, but it is almost impossible to actually see someone.

Chemist is very understaff, I had to ring their head office to get someone to call me back after ringing the chemist 25 times and the surgery 5 times but just kept getting cut off. Still haven’t had what I wanted resolved. Wanted my nans prescription sorted that we order last month before we move. Now they have lost the prescription and my nan can’t get here tablets. So glad we have moved surgeries! Definitely won’t be recommending this surgery

Initially it wasn't obvious how best to book an appointment or how to register and use the System Online" facility

My son had a chest infection for 3:weeks plus a fever, and they have no appointments to even look at him or even prescribe him any antibiotics. Highly unprofessional and untrustworthy surgery. Adding to this, having to wait for a phone call is also disappointing.
