I attended the Brighouse Park Run for the first time equipped with my bar code to be scanned at the end of the route. This is a very well organised event with a prompt 9am start. There are hi visibility bibbed volunteers/marshals/first aiders stationed along the route, guiding and cheering you on. There were195 runners of all ages with two tail walkers also completing the 4 lap course.Close by the finish line there is a small cafe where you can relax, recover & chat with other park users.I thoroughly encourage you take a trip to Wellholme Park, to either take part/volunteer or give support to a fantastic event.

Great for families, children and dogs alike. Plenty of space for sport, it has gym equipment, large playground, wooded area for dog walkers, a stream which children and dogs love to play in, and is conveniently right next to a Tesco. There is a car park at one end, and parking on the main road too.

This is the best Park around. Children's play area, big field over the bridge for playing games or letting your dog have a good runaround. Lovely stream running through for paddling. Right at the bk of the field is woods you can explore. It really is a fab park.

Great place for a walk with the dogs or just wander alone.. woodland area's are up a steep slope with bridal paths and lead into a field area.. in the park itself there is a child's play area, skate/bmx park, lots of room for a kick about with the kids.. By the carpark at the ford there's a gym.. The stream/river runs down one side of the park, our dog spent nearly a hour running in and out of the water... Great place for families, dog walkers

It's a lovely Park plenty of Space; great for people of all ages there's a Sun-Dial there which is very Old.. & other Victoria Buildings worth a look very Impressive/don't have any Photos for Wellhome Park but Photos were taken on a Walk to Copley

My sister has had surgery on her ankle so was walking in crutches. ...the keeper of the park was very caring and took time out to help her with her dog. I loved the woodland walk.

Fantastic large park with lots of exploring bits, children's play, teenage skate bit. Lots of benches to sit on. So much to explore: flat bits, stream bits, cycle bits, climbing bits. Only criticism which is down to its users. Adults not keeping their kids to the 2m policy, older teenagers in large groups trying to prove a point. Such a large place to enjoy however lazy families congregating near the entrances near the car park near the play area.Come on people, it IS POSSIBLE to enjoy the outdoors here sensibly.

I went with Mum, because Brighouse Gala was on. The park is great, I've done the park run here and it's a lovely run/walk. There is a coffee shop as you go in, that does a nice selection of food and drinks . There's seating in the flower garden and loads of grass to picnic on.
