Friendly and understanding service.Fixed a potentially dangerous fault in my boiler.Very clear communication and explanation.Had to have gas switched off,living with two teenagers and no hot water isn't fun but issue fixed within 2 days,very kindly fitted around other jobs.Would definitely recommend.

Our 20+ year old boiler failed on the 1st December 2023 and would not fire up! We phoned several companies based in Northampton and Milton Keynes (who advertised that they covered Northampton), all that answered our call were quoting 3+ days to look at our faulty boiler.We phoned RiGas and spoke with Nik who advised that he was on a callout in Rushden but could get to us (Sixfields) in a couple of hours, which was very reassuring as the outside temperature was freezing.Nik tried all he could to get our faulty boiler running but unfortunately it had finally died on us.We knew we had pushed our luck over the years and had definitely got our money’s worth.We asked Nik to quote for the supply and installation of a new boiler and received his quote the very same evening. Nik explained about where any external piping would be fitted and about the smaller modern flue requiring some cement work which he was happy to undertake if we didn’t know a builder. Nik also offered to leave us a couple of fan heaters to keep warm which was very thoughtful of him.We accepted the quote and a date was set for Wednesday 13th December. Then we received a message from Nik advising that he had spoken to another client that kindly agreed our installation would be prioritised as their old / faulty boiler was still managing to heat their home.We were amazed that Nik had done this for us as it meant the work started on Wednesday 6th, a whole week earlier than previously thought. We really appreciate both Nik and his other client for letting us have our boiler installed first.By Friday 8th December we were happy and comfortable with our brand new Baxi 825 boiler, new programmable switching controls and LCD room thermostat system.Nik worked nonstop for 3 days running some new copper pipe, building work and adding in a much needed frost protection system. He also installed a new ball valve in the boiler feed tank to improve the system’s water supply.He used a magnetic filter system to remove debris from our radiators and pipes and fully chemically flushed the whole system (radiators etc.) to ensure the new boiler runs at full efficiency and all radiators are balanced and now functioning perfectly. Some of our radiators hadn’t been working for years!We really feel like Nik went above and beyond for us and can honestly say he has been by far the most reliable and honest tradesperson / engineer we have ever had working in our home. He was happy to keep us fully posted on the installation progress and showed us how flushing of the system worked.We had a great rapport with him and felt comfortable that he was very trustworthy and genuine, definitely no corners were cut and our home is benefiting from Niks hard work. He is a true diamond, and will definitely be our first choice for future work and boiler servicing.

Nik was professional all the way through the disconnect of the electric hob, and replacing it with a new gas hob. The attention to detail was excellent, making sure not even a small ball of polystyrene was left on the hob to burn and disfigure it. Nik cleaned up after himself so you would never know any major work was done. He was on time and we paid the amount agreed by text. 5 star ++++ from me.

Absolute con artist, rips you off with constant call out charges. Attends the property then says he needs more parts so leaves and doesn’t come back for a week as too busy, meanwhile your issue is unresolved. Comes back with 15 minute notice and then says actually I need more parts and then demonstrates childish behaviour and throws the job away.Avoid this so called gas engineer, fraudster.

Nik, did a great job installing a wireless thermostat for my central heating and getting the system up to scratch for a gas safety certificate. I thoroughly recommend him.
