Seamstress by the Sea dressmaker and alterations

I just met the lovely Louise! I brought a jumpsuit to her that either needed adapting or some cups sewn into it! We decided it just need some stoking added to it to adjust the way it sat on my figure and she did it there and then for me! Completely astounded as was expecting to leave it with her and be in the list of people waiting for her services! Louise was so friendly and easy to talk to, she was not judgmental at all (something I’ve experienced being a bigger person)! She was just a dream, I will be back and highly recommend.

Asked Louise to take up a bridesmaid dress at the back as it had a train and wanted it to be level. She text me a few days later saying she had taken up the dress all the way round, asked if that was ok (no, as that wasn't what I asked for), and then said she could fix it. Then said she couldn't fix it. I go to pick it up and say I don't want to pay for something I didn't ask for and the dress might now be ruined (10 days before the wedding party), and get greeted with the fact that she pinned it all the way round and that she was adamant that's what I wanted (the text exchange clearly proves otherwise and my bridesmaid confirmed I had only asked for the back to be taken up). Also asked for a couple of stitches to be put at the bottom of my wedding dress which wasn't done. If you'd like to be stressed before your event or wedding this is the lady to go to!

I have used Louise twice now. Once was to make an edit to a dress purchased for me in Senegal for me to wear to a traditional Senegalese wedding. I have used her now to also alter my wedding dress. Highly worth the travel to use someone as professional, helpful and nice.

My teenage daughter needed a pair of lightweight trousers taking up. Normally my wife would tackle the job but a mixture of the fabric type, colour and they must be perfect" had us googling for help. Louise was incredibly helpful

Brought face masks from this lovely lady as well as having a beautiful dress made for my little girl! Excellent quality, done withing a fewdays and very professional. Will be going back for more dresses soon!

Louise was absolutely fantastic and a real life saver. After being let down by another seamstress Louise saw me right away and took my dress in whilst I was there. She made everything look easy where my other lady had balked at the idea! She is a lovely person and I had a wonderful afternoon watching her work and meeting her daughter and cats. The experience couldn’t have been better and I will be using Louise again.

Louise was an absolute god send! I needed alterations on a bridesmaid dress very urgently. Not only was she an absolute delight but the alterations looked perfect, so neat and the dress ended up fitting like a glove. She pulled it out the bag at such short notice when others couldn’t! I am so grateful for the quick turn around and her friendly manner. I would not hesitate to ring Louise again for alterations in the future.

Louise is lovely and responds quickly to enquiries. She is always willing to help and can be very creative regardless of what I request of her. She has sewn me some beautiful cushion covers and recently changed the metal herringbone straps of a dress which proved to be quite a challenge. Thank you Louise!
