York Golf Club

Zero communication regarding the necessity to use mats in the fairways. Many of the greens were not in use and instead the fringe grass in front of the green was being used as a makeshift green. The entire course was incredibly wet and just overall not in good condition.I understand this is what winter golf in England might be like but for the experience we had today this course was far and away the worst course I’ve ever played at. Supposedly it’s meant to be better in the summer so maybe I’ll give it a second chance if I’m ever back near York in those months.

Loved it.Would recommend a visit to golfers of all abilities.

Had my Birthday lunch here,well kept,food was piping hot and freshly made,large spacious bar/ dinning area with outdoor balcony, toilets and lift,good place to hold a function.

Excellent practice facilities (range and short area) assist in your warm up. Shop is well stocked. Staff were friendly and attentive. Course was in very good condition with fast true greens. Clubhouse bar was very comfortable (lovely sofas). We had lasagna chips and coleslaw after the pro am which was very nice.

Fantastic club with beautiful food. The chef was amazing catering for my Gluten Free needs & staff were exceptional for my aunts 90th Birthday lunch x

I was the coach driver with a golf club from Huddersfield.They booked a day playing golf at this lovely club.The staff were really friendly and helpful. And the food was beautiful.We had b/fast dinner and evening meal.From Arriving to leaving was a great experience.Highly recommend a visit if you you love golf.My party had a brilliant day and evening.

We were visiting Strensall for a two week cadet summer camp and used the restaurant for a formal dinner for the senior cadets. We couldn't have chosen a better place. John, the owner of Par 18 was an absolute gentleman who couldn't have been more helpful if he tried. The food was outstanding and the staff phenomenal. Thank you for a fantastic evening.

Attended a wedding reception. The room was very nicely decorated, tables neatly arranged. The staff were attentive & professional. Views from the balcony were stunning especially as we were blessed with a lovely sunny day.The food was fantastic and hot!Couldn't fault it.Car park very busy with hapzard parking. Must be a very busy golf course!
