Great little ferry service that shuttles back and forth to Dunoon from Gourock. I bought my tickets online, they don’t seem to have an expiry date and I didn’t use them till the following year. I waited only a short while at either port before boarding and the crossing was short and smooth.

Female staff need more training. Everytime they question the length of my 2.9m trailer and measure it. No facilities at either end. Pretty basic but does stay on in bad weather as its private company

A regular, well managed, and efficient service, that runs from McInroy’s Point, to Hunters Quay, Dunoon. The vehicle queuing bays are well marked, with good lighting at night. The staff give good, clear instructions for entering/exiting the ferry, but BEWARE of those who move when they are not meant to.The ferries are fairly new, always clean, well maintained, with clean toilets. You can buy tickets onboard, but buying them at the Coop in Greenock, will save you around £12 on a return ticket.

Normally a good service but unfortunately at holiday times such as now (13/10/23 @ 18.30) there is only 3 ferries operating, the queue is a mile long on the road, I don't see why money was wasted extending the ferry ports when they are never used, can I also add that no facilities are available while waiting a long time for a ferry.

Very reliable service. Staff very friendly. Quick crossing. Slightly expensive for what it is. I suppose if you wanted to include the magnificent views from the ferry when you are crossing over to the islands in the price does not seem too bad.Just a little tip, if you stand at the front of the ferry make sure you’re wearing something that you do not mind getting wet LOL

Make sure you pre but your tickets as a car, driver and 2 kids (dogs ride free) will cost close to £50 for a return journey. But I'm told tickets can be purchased (for almost half the cost) from local shops

Great experience, the trip over the Clyde was very professional. The staff were excellent at directing the vehicles on and off the ferry. We bought our tickets online (Western Ferries website) prior to our trip, which got delivered to our address within 2 days of purchase. You can also buy tickets at the ferry booth and on board. The trip over to Dunoon takes about 15-20 minutes. You are able to get out your car and walk about on deck and the observation deck, which is to one side up some steps.

A very pleasant trip over the water. The ferry is a regular, efficient service, and saves miles by road. It's just nice to sit in the car and watch as the journey progresses. Getting on and off doesn't take much time as the staff are efficient, but I'm not sure if I was there at their busiest time.

Taking the ferry from Dunoon to Gourock with Western Ferries was a great experience. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the journey was smooth and comfortable. The views of the Clyde estuary were stunning, and my son and I enjoyed watching the other boats and ships passing by. Bringing our motorcycle on board was easy and straightforward, and we were able to disembark quickly and start our adventure on the mainland. Overall, a wonderful way to travel and highly recommended.
