The Old Farm House Care Home

This care home gets an absolute 5 out of 5 from me. My 94 year old Mum has been here for over two years now and she couldn't be in better hands. The home is clean and well maintained, the staff are all so friendly and committed to what they do, there are activities, the odd day trip, there's a church service once a month, summer bbq's, afternoon quizzes etc etc.What I particularly like is the undercurrent that this is ... home, and that the residents are treated like it's their home with a lot of respect and kindness and choice.If it comes to the crunch that your elderly relative has to go into a care home, thats a huge decision. Be confident here.

It really is difficult to overpraise this wonderful care home! My beloved mum Mary, who is 86 and unfortunately suffers from dementia, went to live there at my suggestion on August 11 2019. She is very happy indeed at The Old Farm House Care Home and is wonderfully well looked after by Monika and her colleagues. I would even say that Mum's condition has improved slightly with the social stimulation she enjoys at the home and with Mum's sense of security.There is a super atmosphere there and my friends and I always enjoy visiting Mum there.Before approaching The Old Farm House Care Home I went to see three other homes in the Canterbury area. They were all well run and did their best, but The Old Farm House Care Home was perfect for Mum's needs. Well done Monika and staff!
