The house was interesting but what gave it the 5 stars were the brilliant guides and the knowledge they shared. Also great information about the church where his funeral was. We spoke to three and they were all interesting. Thanks guys

Quaint small cottage in the woods. Steeped in history. Guides very knowledgeable and welcoming. A fascinating visit. Worth booking in advance as only a limited amount of people able to go in at one time due to small size of rooms.

A very small but significant N.T. property , made fascinating by the welcoming and very knowledgeable guides. It definitely made me want to learn more about T.E.Lawrence's life..

Poignant woodman's cottage, lived in by T E Lawrence, very well restored by National Trust. Interesting tour guides. Limited parking area

Lovely gem of a place to visit. Learnt so much from the guide who was clearly passionate about the history of the place. We spent about an hour and half here. The place is left as Lawrence of Arabia left it before he set off on his fateful journey on his motorbike where he was killed crashing into a tree...he wore no crash helmet :-/ since then, it was made compulsory to wear one. Beautiful little cottage, but with a busy road next to it. Car parking was free and just a short 2 min walk away. We visited in the rain but it didn't spoil the enjoyment. Not really a place for young children to visit.

Recommended by my brother. It certainly didn't disappoint. You have to give the house time to reveal itself. As another reviewer has noted, the guides are brilliant. Informative, enthusiastic, but not pushy. Loved the whole experience and will return in the future after reading a couple of biographies. A fascinating man and house.

I personally found this fascinating. it's a small, low-key place, not a stately house! But the story it tells is super interesting, aided by the knowledgeable enthusiasm of the guides. Lovely green spot also.

Interesting place and history of this man. How he lived his life and his eventual death in a road accident. If you're interested in the life of T. E. Lawrence the this is a must on the to go to list.
