This is my local Yodel collection shop. Every time I go, I am greeted by a very rude store owner. There have been times I’ve struggled to get my son’s pushchair into the shop and the owner has just stood and watched my struggle, rather than helping. The owner is very difficult to talk to and always asks me to come back later to post my parcel. Today, I tried to bring my parcel in and the owner was unloading his car of stock, and told me to wait ten minutes. I said that was fine, and stood in the inside of the doorway as it was raining. He told me off for doing this. As well as this, his shop is very dirty, with scrunched up lottery tickets and old packets everywhere. I’ve had too many rude encounters with this owner and cannot tell people enough to steer clear of this shop.

Can’t believe how rude this guy is. The shop was closed with a sign up “no more parcels until further notice”. I came back the next day and the sign was still on the til, so I asked if he was able to take the parcel. He grunted at me with more of an aggressive arm wave than an answer. Took the parcel then waved his arm to the end of store, saying put it there. So I walked to the end of the store where there was a few stacked empty black boxes, I put my parcel in there, and the bloke went a bit nuts , going “ not in there” waving his arm at me. I was really awaken back, and said “why are you shouting, I find you really rude” to which he had the audacity to shout at me and then ask if I worked! Now I get that he might not enjoy his work, or taking parcels but that’s his decision. I’ve been in three times and each time he is unwelcoming and rude. So today I went to the fishponds shop, who were polite and welcoming, so best to go there instead. No stars

Opened our package and removed items from it, lost us hundreds of pounds. Often don’t accept packages for no reason. If I could give zero stars I would. Read the other reviews - all the same! Go elsewhere for your packages!

NEVER pick up a Yodel collection from here. I was supposed to have a large item delivered to this store. When I went to collect it, the shopkeeper said that it had not been delivered.I was very angry so I contacted Yodel to ask what had happened. The Yodel delivery driver had reported that (via Yodel webchat) the shopkeeper had refused to take in the item because it was too big.The store owner had clearly lied to me. My advice is, DO NOT have items delivered to this store.I have only given this store one star. If I could give no stars, I would!

I'm not usually one to leave bad reviews but maybe this will save someone time and effort. I went here for the first time the other day to send a parcel via Yodel direct. Upon entering the store, I greeted the shop assistant who was on their phone and waited for about a minute until they could pry themselves from their phone. Not many words were spoken, as the staff member pointed at everything, expecting me to know how everything works. Once the label for my parcel was printed, they gave it to me but when I wanted to stick it onto the parcel, ripped it out of my hands again to scan it - looking at me as if I should have known better. Once they handed it back and I had to put the label on myself, instead of putting the parcel in the designated area, they instructed me to go to the other end of the shop to put the parcel on a very disorganised pile of parcels on the floor. Despite this, I said goodbye in a friendly manner but did not get much in return. The shop itself was also very unorganised and unclean. The floor behind the counter was cluttered with old receipts. I understand if people have a bad day but the staff member did not even do the bare minimum.

Ian is great. He appears as gruff but he has a heart of gold and a shop that seemingly sells everything.

Regularly leaves sign on door saying back @ 12.45. 1:30pm no sign of owner. Does everything he can to avoid people returning parcels via a service he offers. When I have been able to return something he claims the sticker printer doesn't work and made me pay to buy tape. He accused me of losing the receipt to attach to the parcel for ten minutes whilst I emptied my pockets only to find it next to the phone. ( He continued a separate phone call to a supply who he also shouted at through his entire assault on me )Hides out the back as much as possible to avoid contact with customers. Can't be because of Covid as he shop hasn't seen an antibacterial cloth for atleast 5 years. Wouldn't be surprised if this was a cover a money laundering operation as he clearly doesn't want any custom. As other reviewer said. Should be shut down permanently.

Terrible experience!!!! I recently purchased a medium sized cat from Wish and when I got home there was one of those I can’t be asked to ring the doorbell notes on my floor.Unfortunately they had instead delivered it to Staple hill news and so I had to go and collect it,I arrived at a fairly respectable 12.07PM and was shocked to see they where in fact closed because, and I quote,”Due to the Armenian wars drain on Swiss cheese”,Whatever that means.Anyway I arrive again the next morning to find my cat had died and was now being used as a lunch box for the man’s son .Awful experience and won’t be going again.I have attached below an image of what was made of my poor kitten.

Would give negative stars if I could. The guy got really rude and visibly irritated that a collect+ package was brought in on a Saturday rather than his preferred Monday. Was on his phone upon entry and spent a good minute on it before acknowledging that a customer had arrived. It was also generally very dirty inside.
