We tried Haddock and chips as well as Scampi and chips. Both the dishes were tasty. Scampi and Haddock were crunchy. The chips were crunchy as well even though I am not a big fan of thick size chips. The fish and chips bar remains extremely busy and I had to wait 15 mins to get my food. Not many places to sit and eat. This fish and chips bar is located at Fort Augustus.

I had a 'Battered Sausage' - not something we have here in Canada - and I swear, I still dream about that thing. Floating on Loch Ness, sipping Ardbeg and secretly nomming on a sausage that I wasn't supposed to bring on board. Seriously one of my favourite memories from our trip.

Typical tourist place catering to a constant stream of tourists with little regard for the quality or the food. The chips are not freshly cut, tastes like they come from a frozen package and the fish is also the same, both just quickly heated up and handed over with little customer service.Not an authentic fish and chip experience. If you're looking for something quick to eat, this does the trick, but if you're looking for quality and an authentic fish and chip experience, I would go elsewhere.

We only went there because the tour guy recommended us… not only they are super slow it is also very basic and plain… no seasoning and no flavour. Try other places around. The worst part was that they left the fish too long under the lights for some unknown reason and it got soggy. Waste of money and time. Avoid it.

Amazing fish & chips, probably the best I have had in Scotland. We were here in 2018 & we came back here in 2023 & were happy that the shop is still there. The fish was so fresh, firm, flaky & juicy. Its batter is crispy & crunchy. The scampi was very savoury & juicy. We chatted with Dale who was very friendly. So glad to have a bit of detour to come here again.

Pretty good fish and chips. We ordered two haddock fish with chips and they were cooked fresh and the batter was not too thick. The fish was also fresh and flaky. The chips were also good.Waiting time was around 10-15 minutes and there are a few tables outside.

Probably the best fish and chips I’ve ever had! We stopped here by chance while visiting from London and we were so impressed with how delicious it was! The fish was haddock which I had not had before as I’m so used to cod in fish and chips shops, so I tried it and I am full converted! It was cooked so well and was so tasty, the chips were also cooked perfectly and the price was more than reasonable! The lovely guy who served us, Dale, is clearly passionate about his job and having happy customers. Will definitely visit again on our yearly Scotland trips! Thank you

We happened on this place by accident as we were taking a comfort break and they were just about to open. Fish was large and meaty (a rarity these days) and the chips were beautiful. You have to wait as all the food is freshly cooked but the wait is definitely worth it. Highly recommended
