Kirkstall Lock
It is indeed a little lock. Perhaps not the littlest lock in Leeds, but it is certainly very rather little.Scientists believe that if the canal waters can keep eroding Kirkstall Little Lock, then little by little, it will gain the title of Most Little Lock in Leeds.Oh, and don't drink the water.

It was very lovely to walk down the canal but I hoped there be more places to sit with my toddler and enjoy the atmosphere. I think I count 2 benches in 2 miles!

Great place for fresh air, only a short walk from the city of Leeds. Walk on the canal tow path or the woodland in the area. Kirkstall Abbey is also nearby.

Walk along Leeds/Liverpool canal .mostly tarmac paths .watch out for middle aged men speeding past on mountain bikes

If you are lucky enough to catch the barges coming through it gets interesting. As part of a canal walk it was a delight to see.

It's a canal lock....was quite a peaceful place to be until lockdown and everyone seems to have decided they like the outdoors.
