Nice steam train ride with views around the river and nearby villages. There are seats with tables, toilets and even a small canteen inside. There's also carriage with preference for those with mobility issues. There are two blue badge parking spaces in the station

Amazing steam railway! So many beautiful sights to see along the river, staff were so friendly and the carriages were maintained beautifully. Please check the timetable before you and it is always a great idea ro book before.

On a previous visit to this part of Wales I really wanted to do the steam train, unfortunately it wasn't to be so this time I made sure I booked well in advance.I'm not going to lie the cost of a return journey for 2 adults and 2 children was a little expensive once you take part on the excursion and realise you basically sit on the train for almost 2 hours.Unless your children are massive train enthusiast, or like scenery I wouldn't necessarily recommend for children. We left Llangollen and head for Corwen which we was told would take 40 minutes. Now don't get me wrong the scenery was fantastic and I thoroughly enjoyed myself however the rest of our group wasn't as impressed. We stopped at every station along the way, maybe 4 or 5. They were old fashioned stations almost like a step back in time obviously I wouldn't say these were even used nowadays but we're still in pristine condition just as they would of been I guess they were like little museums or shrines. When we finally arrived at Corwen the conductor said we had 40 minutes before the train was to depart back to Llangollen. We were heading into the last part of the day, however there is absolutely nothing to do in Corwen! Nothing was open apart from a cafe or pub.At the actual station there was a small hit where you can get information, have a cuppa or a slice of cake. Look at a railway model, buy a book or sit outside and just take in the beautiful scenery.40 minutes later and we're heading back to the finishing line the exact same journey we had made 40 minutes prior. It's for this reason I found the cost a little too high.It was an experience to travel on an old steam train and take in the stunning scenery along the way, we even followed the river for a good part of the way.But that's where my journey stops perhaps as already mentioned amazing if your a train enthusiast but for the rest of my group it was an experience but wasted on them!I thoroughly enjoyed the experience but wouldn't do it again.

Purchased all day tickets for the event.Upon arrival, collected wristbands from the ticket office and was given a timetable. Able to get on and off trains of choice all day. Was cheaper to purchase online than on the day (about £5 per person difference)We went on the diesel and the steam a couple of times. Amazing experience, really enjoyed both trains.Unfortunately, the diesel was quite dirty inside (we were on the first trip of the day) so seemed a shame they didn't look after the inside as well as we thought they would.Staff at station were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Station is well kept and has toilets available along with a cafe.Great day out, would do again!

Went, this time, for the Funeral of one of their members, and good friend of mine, the late Derek Foster. Derek had 3 of his locomotives here for several years and worked on numerous locomotives and different jobs the railway required, including driving!A really nice man.The Austerity Tank Loco was polished up with a wreath on the smoke box and blew its whistle as the hearse passed and as he was buried, close to the railway, the loco passed behind blowing it whistle again. A really sad day! Thanks to Llangollen Railway from everyone who knew Derek.

Outstanding service by the booking people who managed to change our train due to traffic. The stations, Steam Engine and all the staff looked great in their period finery and decoration. All staff were very helpful and we had a little time half way to get out and examine the station closer for a minute or 2.There was also a wedding being held in 2 of the carriages that was a nice surprise. This was an outstanding experience and good value for my mother, son and myself.

Did the full journey from Llangollen to Corwen pulled by a steam loco. Great day out with amazing scenery along the river Dee. The train even has a buffet car. Check the online timetables as the steam locos Don run all the time. Can be prebooked.

Great station, they work hard to keep it in good order. Good gift shop, cafe when we visited not so great but that was because they was busy as it was an event day, obviously they didnt think it would be busy, staff stressed shouting at each other getting orders wrong. But well worth a visit and beautiful scenery on a vintage train to Corwen and back.
