Victorian Sliders

We had 12 Victorian slider windows fitted as replacement of the old wooden single pane sash's to our home on the Isle of Man in June of this year 2023.We were very pleased with the look and quality of the windows and of the professionalism of the window instalers (L D Glazing) at the time but wanted to wait until winter before posting a comment.We've just had Storms Ciaren and Debi so I can tell you they not only look good but they work! We had heavy horizontal rain hitting the front of our house combined with crazy wind speed for hours.No air or water leaks at all to report.During instalation a couple of the windows had small scratches on the glass which I was told happened in transit . These windows were replaced promptly without any fuss.I can honestly say that we are completely happy with the look and quality of the windows and the professionalism of L D Glazing. I would recommend them to anyone thinking of having new windows installed.

AVOID!!! Paid extra for acoustic glass when I contacted customer services about the tolerance for decibels they said “we don’t have any”. No noise cancellation at all! When I requested an engineers visit wasn’t possible unless I paid £300 for which I agreed too never heard from them again. During winter it was discovered that windows are also draughty. Got my own window fitter out who slated the quality and has to adjust the glass and install new marker brushes which they had provided only after my complaint. All in all awful! Would never use again.

Would give them zero stars if possible.At first installation they looked great. But on closer inspection and performance these windows are absolutely shocking. My beaten up, 20 year old casement windows that I replaced were better than these. The gaps around the windows had daylight coming through, a massive draft, and offered absolutely no noise reduction.My fitter was constantly on the phone and email to them, which was ignored. When they eventually did respond they had to pay VS £400 for someone to come and look at them.They fobbed us off for ages and then the lockdown happened. Over a year later they eventually sent someone out.He turned up with absolutely nothing. And gave no information to the problem or offered any solution/compensation. My fitters were present and suggested bigger brushes around the sashes. To which my fitter had to supply as he had some in his van.He did say there should be a draft block"fitted and would send these in the post........ Still waiting for these and have not responded to any emails or phone call chasing them. My experienced fitters don't even know what these are

I just got out of my car having been harassed and intimidated by one of their drivers in their company van. If this is how their employees behave when nearly causing a major crash then I'd not want to use their services.

Very professional outfit with high quality windows. Have been using them for over 7 years now. Very thorough in their processes and can't fault the lead times which they always live up to. Shout out to Ella in customer care who efficiently helped resolve some queries.

Avoid this supplier! Very unhappy about their service. We ordered 12 windows, they delayed delivery by 2 weeks becuause the cassini glass was not in stock, we chose one that was in stock, the delievery came with the original cassini order after 2 weeks waiting with excuses of delay every couple of days. They installed the cassini bathroom glass incorrectly, completely add hoc looking ugly, the inside Cassini glass was placed outside, not following at all the Pilkington specs and we have now to return back for a refund. This company has untrained production staff and no quality assurance in their products. Ridiculous. Unprofessional and not to any best UK standard as they claim! Avoid Avoid Avoid!

We have Victorian Slider fitted throughout the property. Many are very good windows but we have had nothing but issues with the last two. The manufacturing standards have definitely dropped and QA is poor to non existent. Expect what you pay for, as after sales does not give you the service you would expect.

Victorian Sliders are a valued part of our supply chain. They offer an excellent product at a very reasonable price.We have always had good communications and professional service.we have used Victorian Sliders on many different projects from one or two windows to whole school buildings with over a hundred frames and large new build developments.We look forward to working with them in the future.

Avoid at all costs. Possibly, in fact the worst customer support available. Have to fill out a form and pay £250 upfront for someone to come out and rectify what clearly is a manufacturing issue. It will take you ages to get parts from them and they will look to blame everything other than the poorly made product. In effect keeping your £250.As long as people keep buying they will never change, they don’t have to. Those were the words of a senior employee to me.I think that sums them up very well.Below are just a few of the many issues we have had.

As with some other reviews, the product quality can be a little questionable which clearly indicates a poor QC process in place but, take this onboard and work to it accordingly as the prices are excellent. That said, when there is a genuine issue, they are reactive and I cannot speak highly enough of their service engineer Chris, who goes above and beyond to rectify the issue. He is an absolute diamond of an employee for them to have onboard, it is just a shame some of their other processes let them down.
