The Admiral Rodney
We visited for lunch today as we do once a month.There is always a warm greeting. The food is very high standard. Our party of three had the Sea Bass and the Haddock and Spinach Fish Cakes. We asked to slightly change the dishes (adding chips instead of the potato's on offer). Annie and Jack were happy to help and made us feel very welcome. Our dishes were delivered as requested and in good time.When booking I had asked for a table near the fire which had been organised.Nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff. A great place to visit including a free and spacious car park.Thank you all.

Called in on a very warm night. Sat inside while waiting for an available table outside. Nice homely feel, pleasant staff with a friendly welcome. But none of the windows seem to open ( painted shut ). We sat at a table near the open door for some fresh air. Overall, a nice pub with a friendly feel. Will call in again.

Four of us ate here today. The food was very good and there was an extensive choice including vegetarian and vegan. We had excellent service from Angela who was very personable. It was extremely quiet which was a shame but that happens prior to Christmas. We have eaten there many times before and will continue to do so.

Went for a Sunday roast with my partner and little boy (21 month old) the kids Sunday roast was more than enough for him :) our roast was absolutely fantastic, best one we've had at a pub in a long time! The turkey was cooked lovely! The dessert lovely too! Will definitely be going again in a couple of weeks. Service brilliant all staff talked to our little boy and he had some colouring which was given to us for him. Made sure everything was okay and our drinks where replenished. 5*

Great table service and food was really great with a good selection. Liam served us and was very attentive. More bar staff needed though as slow service.

Really nice family meal here tonight to celebrate a birthday. Jacob was our waiter/server and he was excellent. Friendly, patient and always happy to help.

Everything was great, the food, the service, the atmosphere and the price. we had table service, Lady who served us was called Angela, made us very welcome always had a smile and was very polite. food was great we asked to be seated by a lovely cosy fire.. Would definitely recommend
