Hypnobirthing Journey

I came across hypnobirthing journey when looking about for groups in my area and I saw they were having a free taster session so I decided to go along. Although I didn’t end up having time to do a full course, I did end up going to a few of the monthly relaxation sessions.Michelle is the most lovely lady and her passion and knowledge about how to make birth an enjoyable and empowering experience for other women is infectious. She took the time and care to get to know all the women who came and would offer advice and support where she could. The relaxation sessions themselves were great, a combination of activities and affirmations all designed to build confidence around birth. Although my personal birth story didn’t quite go as planned the skills I learnt from these sessions helped me cope amazingly with how it went.Would highly recommend to anyone who thinks they would like to try out hypnobirthing.

My husband and I booked onto a group course which for various reasons couldn’t go ahead, but Michelle was super generous in giving us one-on-one classes in our home, which was a lovely experience. The course was well structured and very informative. Her advice was so useful during labour and I felt much more empowered to make decisions that were right for the kind of birth we wanted. My husband and I loved working with Michelle and would really recommend taking a hypnobirthing course with her. She is very down to earth, friendly and welcoming and we never worried about sharing our concerns about labour with her. We learnt calming techniques and what to expect through our labour to help make us feel in control.

During our pregnancy journey, my husband and I set goals for a positive birth experience. We joined the group course with Michelle at Hypnobirthing Journey and we were blown away by the effort and teachings that were provided throughout the process.The course helped to banish the fears surrounding labour and delivery and instead we developed an understanding as to what a woman’s body is capable of and how.We were given the tools to effectively communicate with midwives and doctors and were aware of how powerful the relaxation techniques can be for natural relief of labour sensations.During my birth experience, I practised all of the elements that Michelle thought us and managed for 24 hours with just a few paracetamol. Eventually I had a c-section, but thanks to Michelle and Hypnobirthing were grateful to have navigated these changes in our birth environment in such a calm and positive way.Thank you so so so much Michelle for all of your teachings and overall outlook on how positive birth can be regardless of whether it’s vaginal or assisted.
