We hired the function room. The room is amazing. Clean nicely decorated. Lots of space.Bar was good, plenty of selection of drinks.We hired their resident dj. Great music, great energy, could not recommend more.We also bought buffet food. This is the reason for the reduction in stars. Looking back at what should have been on the buffet we ordered, there were things missing. Whilst there were lots of sandwiches, some of the other bits were lacking in number. When spending near £500 I was expecting more. I'm going to phone the pub to discuss and will update the review.

We visited this pub for a birthday party, so it was quite busy and that meant we had to park streets away because the car park and road next to the pub were full. Everything else was good. The bar was busy, but the staff did well getting everybody served in good time and the event room we were in was set out well. There is an outside area for those wanting to cool off or have a smoke.

I have been going to this pub for over 30 years so I have seen some changes, the present landlady had the garden area refurbished a few years ago and made it a great place to sit on a summers day with a pint.The pub is very fortunate to have 2 staff who are just the best ( the other guys are great also but these two in particular)Friendly efficient and attentive, always there to help. The food is not complicated but very good value if you just fancy a quick meal, burger, chips, and pizza done in a proper pizza oven.A nice selection of beers and wines/gins and inch’s cider …. Top notch …. Ps and it’s dog friendly.

Lovely bar, friendly atmosphere. Function room an odd sort of shape with multiple levels which was a bit segregating. Need to improve the toilets too. Good selection of alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks. House DJ is amazing and well worth booking.

Nice clean pub with decent staff. Some locals can be off-putting, but are really friendly and just being rowdy. Great outside seating area. Reasonable choice of beers and some good bottled beers including a full range of Blue Monkey.
