After loosing a thermal out in the field the guys found my original receipt got it to me within minutes so I could process claim and then posted out new unit same day for delivery before lunch the following day, friendly, excellent service. Highly recommend

One of the best gun smiths I've dealt with in a long long time. Nothing's too much trouble & very tempted to buy my next one from these people.. Especially Clive, took my Gamo whisper sting 22 rifle to have it set up & zeroed in.. wouldn't hesitate in taking my Weihrauch HW 95K to for service.Absolutely superb.

John is vastly experienced in all aspects of shotguns and firearms. He is also a gentleman with a lovely sense of humour and combined with his son Will they are a formidable team.I strongly recommend their services whether you are a seasoned shot or novice. You won’t be disappointed.

Really good service offered by these guys. Knowledgeable, friendly and can't do enough to help. Only swung by when passing but if I lived in the area I'd be there regularly.They could easily charge more for their service but dont. If you love your gun, then this is the place to go!!!!I take my shooting (mainly clay) very seriously and although I live in Scotland, I frequently travel to England and attend the big registered shoots and the competition circuit.Yesterday (29th April) I used my BoreSnake post shoot as normal and the string snapped, leaving the main body stuck in one of my barrels. I spent that evening trying to remove the bloody thing but couldn’t get it to budge for love nor money. I love my gun and I went in to panic mode……The reputation of John and Will proceed them, as I contacted my local gunsmith in Scotland looking for advice and they immediately suggested J Hogan & Son Gunmakers. I called when they opened and I immediately took my gun to them. The BoreSnake was compacted in the barrel and they took the time to use various methods to get the thing out in a very sympathetic way as to not damage the barrels. Put simply, what they don’t know about guns isn’t worth knowing, they shared tips and advice on gun maintenance and explained why I should be doing some things differently. They even took the time to show me under supervision how to safely remove the ejectors for cleaning and replace them. This is something I have always wanted to do, but never felt confident enough to try at home on my own.If you like brilliant, responsive service the way it used to be, delivered by a family run team that really care and are passionate about the trade they are clearly experts in, then this is the place to go.
