Ok so I go in this charity shop, which does great work, I go in because there is a waterproof outfit for sale there.As i have a question, I ask one of the two women working. One of the women leaves to go ask the supervisor, as she does a man of my age (dressed smart in a suit) follows closely behind her and out the back.I look a the women remaining quizicly, wondering if that man is the manager and if so why is he not speaking with me? Her responded is unreadable.A women comes back and we speak, she answers my question and as we are Finnished I turn and see the man (in the smart suit) standing just behind me.He watches me like i am a threat, just inside my comfort zone.Do you work here i ask?Yes he says.So I'm like thinking why did you not speak to me, why are you now shadowing me?I'm the manager he adds.This shop is suppose to be a charity shop, a shop that helps the needy. The waterproof outfit I was in need of, was priced at roughly a quarter the normal price. I mentioned this to the supervisor, which she said it's an expensive item and we are a business that has to make money.Firstly the British Heart Foundation is a charity not a buisness. There is a huge difference between business and charity.Second the manager was being passive aggressive, full of himself in front of his crew and proud to be getting PAID by a CHARITY.The man acted and looked more like a bouncer.The item in question was good value but way to expensive. I left the place feeling unwelcome and poor.
