Halls Poultry

Went to the Farm to deliver a parcel and was met by a disgusting older lady who did nothing but shout abuse at me because I knocked on the window when she didn’t answer the door. From the other comments on here I realise she is like that with everyone, customer or not. Will not be going back to the place and would never use them for meat.

This is the second and last time i used this family business. I called last week to ask price for chicken livers and hearts for my dogs. Was quoted 1.85 per kg so ordered 18 kg other each. They kindly called me to say there ready for collection. I arrived a nice guy loaded in car and charged me 72 pounds. I though thats not right but gave money and left trying to work out in my useless head. Got home and used a calculator £66.00 total. Phone next day spoke to the usually grumpy older woman and asked her how much was chicken liver were she said 1.85 per kg. I said yes that what you told me so why was i charge 66 pounds, she said she didnt know but would find out as she was doing wages. I said ok not a prob if it is a mistake I will just leave it till next months trip to Halls. She called back an hour later to say it was a mistake I should have been charge 77pounds. I asked why when she said it was 1.85. she denied this and said she never said that eventhough it was on 2 different calls. I said my experiance was she said it on 2 occasions she became rude and very abrupt on phone and kept saying she would never say that chicken livers were 1.85. I said to her nicely my experiance was that but I will leave it for now. She was barking at me to the point of absolute rudeness. I put the phone down. We can all make mistakes we are only human but her rudeness and attitude towards me was grossly appalling and for that reason I will never go back and spend my money there unless there is a change in staff answering calls. I dont care who she is whether owner or cats mother you dont speak to people like that. Bollams meat market is just down the road with a bigger supply network. I will be spending my money there instead.

Not the only one to comment on the bad manners and awful driving from a Halls poultry van driver. Shouting abuse out of the window everyone. Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole if their quality is as poor as the quality of their drivers. Stay away from big style.
